Remember this when voting in November. This all happened under the watchful eyes of Democrats and this Murphy administration who use all the right words in front of the TV and feign to care about the small person suffering under an economic weight and then turn around and not practice what they preach.

I only found out when I got there you couldn't even get in without an appointment there's over a month waiting to get an appointment...
Dani
TERRIBLE. However I must say the two people that I did work with at the Hackensack office were very nice very patient and super helpful but the overall system of getting through is the worst thing ever it's terrible how people are in desperate need of their money and cannot even get a single person on the phone

I have been waiting to speak to agent since 3/28/2020.can someone please give me a # get someone to call me I need to speak to a human person with a voice. No one emailed me yet or mailed me anything.
Go to your nearest unemployment center and use the phones there you may have to wait but you will get through
No just both of you half of the people having the same issues Keep claiming until they open the office on july 13.
Be happy
You aren't alone. I tried contacting my state reps and got through to NJDOL that way. Shouldn't be necessary but it worked for me.
I have the same issue, offices are closed, no one answering the phones. It's ridiculous.
Channel 12 just showed that re opening date will be now July 13th and that if decide to keep that day I think we should peacefully go over there and demand answers this is serious since March my claim has been pending
Office will open on June 29
That's a major problem with them. They don't answer their phone and doesn't return calls
Id. You can file online which is much easier
Not sure what this means: cut off time? If you mean, when do they shut the doors, check the location hours. But, if you mean, do they stop letting people inside, it depends on the wait time on any particular day. If it takes thirty minutes for the next appointment chairs and there's twenty nine minutes left in the day with a full house, folks are going to probably have to return the next day, bright and early.
Tina, the answer to your question may vary based upon public versus private sector employment. As a former public school employee, the period of employment specified to receive unemployment benefits must be no less than eighteen months. Without specifying public nor private sector jobs, Google searches reference a period of one year of consistent employment to claim unemployment benefits; but this number varies state to state. One might presume this figure to correlate with private sector termination without insubordination.
Keep calling EVERYDAY as proof of a phone call log lastly they now have where you can go online and make an appointment in person this is something new they added
Make an appointment to go in and speak to someone.
Go to office near you and request an appointment
You can go on the website now and make an appointment to see someone in person I did I got an appointment for today
If you're want answer please go directly to State of New Jersey Unemployment office!!! I know is hard to contact them but is the best way is go to directly to office!!! Address is 60 state street suit 101 Hackensack NJ 07601 if you're living in Bergen County!!!! Go there and will be have your information!!! Good luck ok
Yes. You stand a better chance of calling on the weekend and securing an appointment.
By appointment only
It's suppose to be open only to appointments, but call the Labor Board in the same connecting building they may direct you to a phone # where you'll get some answers
Unfortunately you have to call. I know it's hard to get through. Try Saturday morning. How is it I can talk in person to an essential worker like a grocery store clerk, but I cannot talk in person to an unemployment clerk?
You are not alone
why would you resign if you knew you had no money to leave a job that was actually paying you all because of "personal reasons" now your stuck trying to put a claim in for unemployment this is exactly why the system is backed up with claims
No its not
Keep calling inhale same problem as well.
The office is not open. I'm having trouble, myself. I only get machines when I call in.
They are closed until further notice...
Not they will open on July 13
No. But get there as early as possible because you are called by numbers. I called initially and they sent me a letter in the mail with an over the phone appointment
