How can I get in contact with a live representatives from the NJ unemployment office. I have been out work for 8 weeks and not been able to speak to or contact anyone from the NJ unemployment office. I have not received a check, in 8 weeks.

Try to call at 7:58 right before center opens. Dial and when phone answers hang up. Repeat for the 2 minutes until it hits 8:00 and when phone answers follow prompts to speak with representative; theres a good chance you will be on hold to speak with someone. I usually waited no longer than 30 minutes. Give a try!

Reading these comments make my skin crawl. I randomly was cut off in July. I always go on unemployed regularly for the last 11 years because of country club employment and have never had a problem. Every phone call I have made I have been told 8 weeks. It has now been almost 8 months. This is absolutely mind boggling to me how the government can do this to people. Social services wanted me to reapply for this year. Unemployment told me I can't or I won't get my back pay. I lost my apartment, my dad has fallen ill, and they just cancelled my food stamps because I borrowed rent money from someone, because again never got my "pricessing payment" from rental assistance. I have no words.

She said she’ll send an email and also a hard copy of a form that he needs to fill up. Until now he hasn’t received anything. Tried to call every single day and not able to talk to anyone.

i’ve been having the same issue since november of 2020. had to go through the id verification process. which mind you took from november till the end of this past june. i called twice a week since then… i’ve been out of work for about a month now and they have only paid me for 4 weeks. representative said the other 2 weeks i claimed were still processing but they “didn’t see a hold or anything wrong with it” so of course they escalated it once again for the 8th time now. if it helps anyone to know that the passaic location is open 3 days a week and the jersey city and hackensack locations are supposedly open again. i’m going to try going in person because it won’t allow me to “re open my claim” online whatsoever. i even tried re opening it during my claim day and time and it still won’t allow me to. when calling the call center the option to file or reopen makes you do the whole process and then tells you no one is available and to call back the next business day.

I have been trying to collect benefits for over a year. Always a system error. "Your certification cannot be processed". No certification questions. If you call the numbers, either you get a message that all lines are busy, if you need to speak with someone, call back tomorrow (even calling at 8:01 AM every minute for 2 hours). Ocassionally you will get a call center representative from Texas who cannot do anything but register your complaint and push the audit button of death (half of the audit people quit, so good luck with that). By contacting my local senators and government officials, I was able to get a phone call from the reemployment call center. They said that they didn't see anything wrong with the application or any pending problems, but would have to investigate and would take 6 to 8 weeks. If I called back before then, it would start the process all over again. No call, 8 weeks and 1 day later I called back. The script was repeated. 8 weeks later, nothing. 3 or 4 repeats

I open my claim August 2021 and today is now January 30, 2022 every time I call they say they don’t see any notes on the account they escalated my call three times but every time there’s a new escalation there’s an eight week old so escalating the case met absolutely nothing because if the representative you’re speaking to decides to escalate the case on their own there’s another eight week old from that escalation date. I recently just got an email a couple of days ago asking me the same initial information that I submit it when I first filed my claim months ago and after I was done it said you will receive notice within 2 to 4 weeks and then I called the agency to see what’s going on and they tell me after I fill out that form it’s another whole six weeks hold by looking at all of the issues here that everyone is having it seems like as if they just do not wanna pay anyone their money the representative also informed me that he seen cases last up to over a year and that’s something
