I've been donating blood for over 10 years and this location pretty consistently ranks as the least pleasant location that I've been to. This particular location I've been to 6 times and it's basically a 50/50 chance of whether it will be a timely encounter. I always make an appointment; sometimes it goes smoothly. However, I often have to wait 45+ minutes before they are ready to see me. It's a bummer, because it leaves a bad taste and makes me want to just stop donating altogether.

Went out of my way to find this location, checked in, waited almost an hour and went through blood pressure and everything. Was waiting to donate when they told me “sorry you’re within your window to donate so we can’t take your blood”. When I asked for the managers name or contact info I was told “well they aren’t here so there’s nothing they can do” and they refused to give me any contact info. This type of negligence and subsequent behavior is inexcusable. The incredibly basic check in procedure should not be overlooked, especially when I checked in asking “I’m eligible to donate, correct?” And was specifically told yes. Absolutely ridiculous.

My recent experience at the red bus was very pleasant. Jordan and Stephanie were the young ladies serving me. They were very friendly and professional.

Charity. I know people are out of work and need money but a blood supply based on donations rather than money makes the blood supply safer for everyone. Just my opinion.
The website indicates they will open at 8 am
Thank you for your question. We cannot pay for blood donations since the blood we collect is transfused to patients and we are governed by the FDA. We do offer a thank you gift to our donors, which varies by date and location (visit oneblood.org for more information) however, many of our donors choose to give blood simply to help save a life.
Yes but we do recommend an appointment for platelet donations. You can find an appointment button for each of our donor centers here https://www.oneblood.org/locations/
