Kevin, it depends on the tree service your looking to have done. It's going to be best to call a tree service company and have them come out to look at the work. They give free estimates so you don't have to worry about a cost up front.
Most of the time a permit is going to be required to do a tree removal in St. Petersburg. Usually the tree service company pulls that for you. Our St. Pete tree service has done many tree removals in the St. Petersburg and the surrounding areas and have always pulled the permits ourselves, so the homeowner did not have to worry about that.
