People don't ignore the bad reviews they are all true. My family and I checked in on Thursday the first room the bed was not made. I thought they put us in someone's room. The second room the bathroom wasn't clean. They never had any clean towels. They were giving brown bag breakfast. Paula is the manager and I asked for the district manager name and number she wouldn't give it to me. After making me walk from room to room she said she was going to give me a refund but she debited my card and them credited just that back.

Called to make a reservation and the lady acted like she didn’t won’t too. She just told me to walk in. They would have plentiful rooms left. When I got there she told me she didn’t have any rooms so, we were in the car and she comes running out saying she could cancel someone else’s room because it was 1 in the morning. So we finally got the room. Walked in and the bed had cigarette burns on the comforter and the bathtub was absolutely gross… for $125 a night I would have rather stayed in a motel 6.

This facility was not in the condition advertised. There is no hot tub, no gym, no hot breakfast, and no laundry room. They should explain online that they are currently undergoing construction. The complimentary breakfast was a bagged meal consisting of sugar-laden children's snacks. Not getting the hot meal that was promised in the ad was the most disappointing part. I would have probably given 4-stars in that situation, just because the hotel IS cheap, and it's also located right on the main drag.

During my stay at the beginning of March 2022, there were renovations underway. I have stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham Tuscaloosa, several times over the past 4 years & always enjoyed my stay. They also allow pets, so when traveling with my dog, it was convenient. In the past, I enjoyed the well-run hotel with a great hot breakfast and friendly & professional front desk staff. The rooms were warm & inviting. The décor was in green, golds & browns. When I walked into my room it was welcoming & pleasant. However, on this visit, the hotel was undergoing renovations. The warm browns, greens & golds have been replaced with numerous shades of gray: My room had gray floors, walls, headboard, baseboards & door frames. The window curtains were removed & replaced with gray shades. In addition, the window was frosted - - over half the way up - - so the occupant cannot see outside. The new art work on the wall is blue & gray & looked “sportsy”. Wooden furniture & lamps had been removed - - Some not replaced. Some replaced with metal. The beds have white sheets & pillows….no additional color. Everything is now very modern, cold & bare. The only thing that was not gray was the blue carpet in the hallway. The rooms continue to be extremely clean, beds comfortable. It appears that they still allow pets & the office staff remains professional. The hot breakfast has been reduced to a grab & go. If you are into the fad of decorating in gray, this is the hotel for you! However, I enjoy warmer tones & color. With these gray colors, it felt like sleeping in an office cubicle. All the previous warmth of the hotel has been removed. Personally, I would have preferred the installation of a hot tub. Although, I have previously enjoyed my stay at the Wingate, I will be choosing a different hotel the next time I pass through Tuscaloosa. I am giving 3 stars for cleanliness & professionalism. However, not 5 stars because of the stark décor & lack of hot breakfast.

I don't believe so, unless they're under a certain weight. However I've stayed there enough, that I'm pretty sure only the 3rd floor is the floor with pets. And this may be an unwritten thing, as the third floor was the only one to have pet odor smells. Mainly in the hallway.
