Great experience. The sunflowers were pretty!

I loved this place! It’s a great place to come with family or friends either for a picnic or just to hang out.

The Sunflower Field at Dix Park encompasses all that I love about Raleigh. It’s open from dawn to dusk, 7 days a week. The seeds are planted mid-May and peak mid-July. Although there were a lot of people (and well behaved, leashed dogs) on the days I went, there was plenty of space to enjoy…and take photos. There were a ton of bees handling their pollinating business. People were friendly and courteous. It’s still a work in progress, so there weren’t “formal” walking paths and not wheelchair accessible. Per the city, that’s there next on the improvement plan. Port-a-John’s were available and there’s an indoor restroom at the Chapel. For now, enjoy the simplicity. It’s lovely.

From now till the fall
It depends on the needs. There are Porta potties, but this is a dirt field with a gravel parking lot. There is a slight incline into the field, like a 5% grade which is hardpack dirt. The field itself is packed down dirt. A wheelchair will find some challenges but with some help could make it through. Hope that helps.
One giant field. When I was there two weeks ago, they seemed well taken care of.
No. Not until late June or early July. There were daffodils in a nearby field, next to the Flower Cottage, but they are likely done blooming by now. There's plenty of veronica, dednettle, miniature violets and the like blooming close to the ground, if you look closely, though.
Idk they were building something were the sunflowers would be
Summer time
The field is still open to the public but there aren't any flowers this year. It's also adjacent to a nice grassy field if you're looking for a space to relax.
Thay announced no sunflower field this year.
No, not on the fields directly. But, at the building site next to it, there are a few. Looks to be associated with some construction work
