If I could give this place a -5 stars, I would! Before my fiancé and I moved in here a year ago, we agreed that we wanted to find a place to stay for a few years until we were ready to buy a house. I did weeks worth of research and at the time a lot of the reviews for this place were positive. We moved in August 2021 and we have had nothing but problems since. I don’t typically leave reviews but please, listen to me when I say DO NOT LIVE HERE! First and foremost, don’t trust anything the office staff says. They make so many empty promises and nothing gets done when they say it will. Vic is the worst of them all, and if he doesn’t like you, you’ll surely know it. Furthermore, Erin will make something seem urgent but then will take several weeks to follow up. For example, in June, we we’re having problems with our A/C and she said that someone would be out that same day because it was considered an emergency repair, yet maintenance never showed. The only person in the front office that I will give the benefit of the doubt to, is Becky and that’s because she’s new. In the first 2 months, our storage unit (and several others nearby) was broken into and a lot of our stuff was stolen. The front office staff told us to call the Police to file a report and showed no empathy at all. We asked them to add a new lock and with hesitation they agreed to add a padlock. I inquired with the previous Manager, Clyde, about security cameras after this being a known issue, and the manager said “no because it’s a violation of privacy”. I confirmed with him that he valued his residents having privacy over his residents feeling safe, and he stumbled upon his words because he knew he had backed himself into a corner. Honestly, it told me everything I needed to know about this place. THREE MONTHS LATER our storage unit was broken into AGAIN and this time we agreed that we no longer felt safe at this apartment. We attempted to file a Level 1 Complaint on the basis of not feeling safe here, ultimately looking to terminate our lease early and move out, but we were told that wouldn’t be offered because our storage unit being broken into (twice) wasn’t the same as our apartment being broken into. So here we are literally counting down the days until we can move out. The new manager Becky did try to help by giving us a discounted rate to terminate the lease, but we sure as hell aren’t giving them any more money. Seems a little money hungry to expect people who don’t feel safe here to stay here unless they pay $1,200+ to terminate the lease early. The gated garage has been broken more than it has ever worked and cars have been broken into more than once. There are always homeless people roaming around and I have been yelled at by them several times. The DART station across the street definitely doesn’t help with the homeless population. It’s so bad in fact that I don’t even feel safe enough as a 30 year old woman to take my dog out at night. And if this review wasn’t already bad enough, they sent us a letter to renew our lease with rent prices increasing from $200-$600. Absolutely not! We would move out tomorrow if we could! But instead we are stuck here until the end of October.

Vic is great. Maintenance guys are nice. I wouldn’t recommend living anywhere else but on the highest floor in your building. I’m disappointed in this place and will be paying to get out of this lease… adding that my review is solely based on certain neighbors and the fact that the banging is excessive. Other than that I’d stay…

So I'm not one to leave reviews on anything, but I feel like I need to let people know what I experienced while living here. I'll start with the good: I never had any issues with the staff. They were all great and responsive. I never experienced packages being stolen, and the noise level was pretty low compared to other places I've lived. The downtown view is also incredible! It cannot be beat. That's basically all of the good. Now the bad: the entire property is extremely run down. They slapped new paint on the walls in the hallways but that's it. The floors and walls have cracks all over and are disgusting. I've only seen someone cleaning them twice in the entire 2.5yrs I lived here. The 2nd time was a clean up of human waste left by a homeless person who broke into the building. There's no safety whatsoever. The parking garage gates are ALWAYS broken. I turned in my keys today and sure enough, one of the gates is broken again. The amount of non-residents roaming the halls is pretty alarming. The homeless are constantly breaking in, using storage units as hostels, and knocking on people's doors at all hours of the night trying to get someone to open their door to do God knows what. Just last week, right before I moved out, someone knocked on our door at 9pm asking for money. Cars have not only been broken into on several occasions, but also stolen. I definitely would not recommend moving here unless, for some reason, you absolutely had to. The whole area is overall extremely unsafe and very sketchy. I've been harassed on multiple occasions by vagrants hanging out in front of the building, and was once CHASED back inside by someone when I refused to give him money. The cops are called a lot but the same issues keep happening. I can't really speak to the amenities because I never used them. The pool was constantly dirty or closed, and so much of the gym equipment was missing/stolen. This is all on top of the extreme roach infestation throughout the property. You can see them in the hallways, the parking garage, and in a lot of units. The property might have had potential at some point, but it's way too far gone. Rent prices have gone up everywhere, but trying to charge people upwards of $400 extra to renew is insane given the state of the place. It's a shame because the staff really were great, and probably the reason I stayed longer than a year.
