This post office has been in possession of a package that I sent on the 29th of August (today is 6 Sept) and has not scanned the package in. It is sitting somewhere in the facility. I would never know this if I did not have an air tag inside the package. The USPS tracking system still shows it in possession of the post office I dropped it off at. If I did not have a tracker in the box, I would have no idea where it was. Ridiculous! The receiving post office is trying to get in touch with them via email. In the meantime, my package is not getting to its destination where it is very much needed.

It depends on where you live, and what class of mail it is. If it's already at the distribution center, it could be at your house tomorrow. It will likely be no later than the day after. Check your tracking number for the estimated delivery date. Also, if you haven't signed up for Informed Delivery, I recommend it!
Changes of Address allow USPS to forward your mail to the new address for a few months, giving you time to update your info with whomever needs it (people/businesses that send you mail).

Check front back and side doors of your home along with porches and if it is not there then go to your local branch post office with your tracking number and tell the customer service person at the counter that you didn't receive it

Make sure you have the paperwork filled out. I recommend about 2-3 hours before closing.
