Please be smart in the summer and bring at least twice as much water that you expect to need. Be ready for a full parking lot unless you are at least an hour ahead of sunrise. Open Cholla!!!!!!!

Great hike, incredible view…. If your from out of town bring alot of H2O. Between my wife and I we consumed almost 5 Litres of water. We got on the trail at 6:45 am reached the summit just under 1.5hr (my wife could have done it in 45 min if I was not holding her back). Most of ascent is done in the shade.

Incredibly fun trail with a super rewarding breathtaking view of the Phoenix area at the finish line. Kid and pet friendly trail but for the love of God, where some damn shoes that protect your feet, not sandals πŸ€¦πŸΏβ€β™‚οΈ The trail is very rocky and slippery in certain areas. I highly recommend hiking sticks. This mountain will certainly test your knee's fortitude coming down πŸ˜‚ Very popular hiking spot, certain spots on the trail become congested but it's not bad.

You’ll want to hike during the daylight, trail would be very treacherous after dark. It’s a good 1.5 hour hike or longer.

A third of the way up at the saddle there are great views of Phoenix and Scottsdale and some 2foot wide benches that I stopped to have a snack. Good place to wait for friends to summit too.
