Beautiful wares, but my last order, the small plates did not look the same as my prior earlier orders. The color of the plates seemed lighter and brighter, the “red earthenware clay” looked much more yellow in appearance, the brown speckling was minimally applied, and the glazing was flat and not glossy compared to my other high shine pieces.I actually thought they were sent somehow unfinished by a last step by mistake.I reached out to the seller regarding the changes and was told maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me and perhaps I wasn’t appreciating their unique individuality as hand crafted pieces. I could either learn to love them or send them back on my tab. I had already paid $222.00 for 6, yes 6 small plates. I also sent photos illustrating the differences. All of my other pieces purchased through several orders look exactly the same except these plates. I don’t want/need perfect plates, but I didn’t feel like the same time, detail and care was put into the finishing of these as my earlier orders and other items I’ve seen on the website and Etsy. I am unwilling to pay the high cost to return ship these across the country on top of the already steep cost of the purchase, so now I’m stuck with pricy plates I’m unhappy with. I stated this to the seller and no response. Disappointed, frustrated, previously highly recommended based on earlier purchases, but cannot make that same recommendation for others at this time based on this last interaction.
