VERY IRRESPONSIBLE AS A COMPANY, BEEN TRYING TO GET A HOLD OF KNIGHT FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS , LEFT MULTIPLE MESSAGES AND NO RESPONSE! MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN TRYING TO SET UP HIS TRAINING CLASSES FOR HIS CDL IN FONTANA AND NOT ONE PERSON HAS RESPONDED, VERY FRUSTRATING AND IRRESPONSIBLE!!!!!!

I was hired in December of 2018 and our orientation instructor seemed genuine until it was time for me to take my dot physical. The instructor asked me for cash to take the sleep apnea test and lied and said FedEx shipped the test overnight. Also recruiters told me about regional driving and once I was hired managers told me it didn't exist. I was probably paid an average of $600 a week or lower. Equipment was nice and new just horrible pay

Fast B service on Saturday! Thanks guys! BTW, clean and nice facilities I was impressed with driver facilities and specially they've implemented nice design as well..all yards should be like this!

You can go to trucking schools like ACI (advanced career institute) get your training and license that way, it may cost you about $3800.00 or more depending on the school. If you go with ACI for example you may use financial aid if you qualify for it. It may be cheaper also if you study for the test take it and get your permit first, then take the driving class. It will cut down on your school time and possibly price as well. That's what my husband did. Just keep in mind that all schools only reason you mostly to pass your driver's test, not so much the driving so to speak. So if your school gives you the chance to test drive or do maneuvers, take advantage of that opportunity and drive as much as you can especially blind side maneuvers. The good thing about Knight is that they put you with experienced drivers who will for the most part allow you to drive and teach you what to do. If you get hired and they say you're going to be with a trainer, make sure it's not team driving.
You can ask the recruiter
That would depend on the recruiter. To be honest, knight has a no forced dispatch policy, and treats their drivers like family! They will pay close attention to your concerns!
Yes Great DM'S & DDM'S I say the best I ever had they look out for the Drivers and the pay is Awesome $$$$
Knight does offer CDL school as well as job specific training with another driver. Ask about the squire program when you contact a recruiter.
I dont know. If you have a scan card. Maybe. All knight driver have id card to enter this lot, if swift has one maybe. If not its a cirlce street or park right before you turn on the street.
Great question, but above my pay grade. You should contact the corporate office for a proper answer.
Yes they do
No. However; to do this job effectively, you should be sober while in or around the truck. Please don't drink and try to drive a rig!!
Normal hiring paperwork, Smith system driver safety, and orientation. Drug testing hair and urine. Once everything comes back positive you should be fine. It's pretty easy.
Knight has automatic transmissions as well as manual trans. Knight is purchasing only automatics. You could request either one depending what is available but eventually you will receive what you request but remember thru are eliminating the manual transmission
That would be between you and your recruiter. As for holidays. They have a small bonus if you run.
No they do not! They provide employment papers, but not a binding contract. They are an open door company. Come or go as you like.
Not usually but make them send whatever they tell you in an email
Truck Nation trucking school, Fresno, California
Im going be honest with you and as a company driver i was doing good but then when i became owner ( Leasing the Truck with them ) it was a nightmare cause they started giving me heavy loads that i had to pickup in Phoenix and deliver just between Washington and Oregon and with these actions they kill me with the Diesel. Talking about benefits its the same thing as the rest of the companies and don't forget they are going promes you be at home every 2 weeks but it's not happen.
Knight is a great company! They make an honest effort to treat you like family, and do what they can to keep you safe! In the end, you are the captain of that ship, and it will go where you say! I.E. if you have an issue with a specific route for any reason, don't take it! Knight has no forced dispatch!
