I am in the market for a 3 bedroom, I was looking at diffferent places on Sunday 7/31. I called this place and had a rude lady pick up and basically tell me to get there now bc she had other places to be. Ok, I ignored it and drove me and my family to the apartment complex. This women was the most rude Cusotmer facing person I’ve come into contact in a while. She barely answered any of questions and was rude the entire time, which was short bc I cut it short. Not the mention the gym and clubhouse are under construction, the place is old and they have premiums for pricing. I’ve seen over 10 different places and this is last on my list. The main reason is the lady I was dealing with. Good location is about it

DO NOT - UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES - RENT OR LEASE AN APARTMENT AT RED ROCK VILLAS - this is the worst management company I've ever come across and they will nickel and dime you - rip you off - in any way possible. They charge you $55 just to pay rent online which is sheer robbery. They charge you - a mandatory 20 monthly "valet garbage" fee even if the dumpster is located a few steps outside your door - but there is no trash collection on the weekend so you wind up taking it to the dumpster anyways - the valet trash will not take any boxes so you wind up going to the dumpster anyways. RRV is charging me $2k to rent a 2bd which is utterly a complete rip off. The maintenance people are slow and sloppy. The mail boxes were broken so they sent all mail to the central post office without notification. They left one of the dumpsters filled to capacity with garbage all over the area for a week without addressing the problem. I've noticed tenants moving out left right and center jumping to get out - all tenants I've spoken to say the exact same thing with the same complaints. The remote controls to the gate don't work. You get the idea? This place is poorly managed and they look to rip you off at ever corner to pocket additional fees for services that a tenant should never be charged for. STAY AWAY at all costs

I'm going to make factual statements about my experience and you can make your own judgement. 1. One week into moving in it was discovered that the refrigerator ice machine was not working. Maintenance came, attempted to repair but then determined for it to be unrepairable. Maintenance said they would order a new refrigerator. In the meantime, the repairs made by maintenance resulted in a water leak, which damaged the floor boards and flooded half of the room behind the kitchen, ruining a desk in the room. This was just prior to COVID shutdowns, so after all of this occurred they said they were unable to enter the unit to make the replacement and repairs because of COVID restrictions. Six months later, I still do not have a replacement refrigerator, the floor boards are still water logged/damaged and I still have a damaged desk (which even though it was damaged as a result of maintenance, I was told they will not replace the desk they damaged). 2. There are unpainted walls in the renovated unit I am. Many unfinished details. 3. The air intake was not cleaned and then was painted over, resulting in a filthy in-take that was not cleaned prior to moving in, now it is impossible to clean as the dirt has been painted over. 4. The garage door broke (a panel), on its own, and had to be replaced. 5. It happens, I understand. With as many garage doors as there are on the property, there will occasionally be signals that will become crossed. This happened to me, as my garage door would open when someone else on property clicked their garage door clicker. Luckily, I was home when it occurred. 6. The air conditioning went out, was repaired, but due to its age it is incapable of keeping up with the heat. So far this summer, there has been an 8 degree difference between what the thermostat is set at and what the actual inside temperature is. The air conditioning units in the complex are antiquated and inefficient. 7. The smoke detectors are incredibly sensitive. The heat alone from opening the oven will set them off. I mentioned this to maintenance with no assistance or remedy provided. 8. There are issues with the payment system that will occasionally not let you submit payment on the day you are trying to make payment. I sent screenshots of the two occurrences in which this occurred to property management, to show that there is something wrong with the system. This resulted erroneous late fees. 9. When needing to contact Maintenance after hours to repair the broken air conditioning, it was discovered that the property management company did not pay the cell phone bill of the on call maintenance employee. So when the air conditioning went out, I was unable to reach maintenance after hours. 10. It is a gated complex, but many times the gates are left open because they are broken. Which defeats the purpose of having a gated complex. 11. Last, but not least, a sewage line became clogged in the building I am in. Sewage was backing up and rising into the bathtubs and overflowing the toilets. I called the front office and they said they would call a plumber, all the while sewage water is not not just in the bathrooms but is now in the kitchen and the dining room. An hour later, the plumber arrived and was able to remedy the clog that was in a pipe outside, which effected the other building tenants as well. Property management and maintenance did not come to the building to survey or clean up the mess/water damage that resulted from the sewage back up. To summarize, you are paying for location when living here. It is nice that the property has an Amazon locker. Otherwise, the property and the units are extremely dated, even the renovated units. It seems that no money is invested to keep things in working / efficient order. Everything above is a factual statement, I left emotion and personal views out of it. You can draw your own conclusions on whether to spend $1800 a month at this property.
