Anti Matter
Great place. Huge beach area. Lots of picnic tables. Some had grills.

An amazing campground with an excellent staff. The beach is nice and how do you beat an oceanesque view. Best sunsets of any state campgrounds.

Ever changing, always amazing fun

I saw campers there.
I know that the bigger cabins that are on the pond do, not sure about the smaller ones
The beach with the lifeguards and sand is NO pets. There is plenty of rock beach for the puppies though!
I not sure never used a cabin there
It is more rocky than Sylvan Beach but you don't need to walk out a mile to be knee deep. The beach itself is probably about the same but Fair Haven has much nicer, cleaner facilities
Beach is smaller than normal but we didn't see any debris. Kids still had a great time. We were there 4th of July week.
Yes they do, also ask ab there house they have just outside of the park, its owned by the park and they rent it weekly for $500.
On leash and with up to date rabies vaccine certificates
Sand bars are not fixed ...they come and go with weather waves etc...
Fishing area to fish ? Plus does it cost any m0ney to fish THERE?
It's allowed but not in glass containers. Carry-in/Carry-out policy on all garbage and containers.
If don't have cash they have a machine outside the cashier booth for you to use your credit or debit card just have to pull to the side to use it so you don't block others coming in
I would bring va card or military id
Yes you can kayak most anywhere. Best be expierienced to go beyond breakwaters. Watch your wind and surf. It can kick up sometimes. Beesv care full in the marshes and don't really recommend them. Too many mosquitoes too. Bring a charged phone with you in watertight container and don't go alone. The chimneys are close to Fairhaven State Park but you can go two milikes up road and walk to them. You can also walk the shore most anywhere around that area. Please mark helpfull.
It was the same the day I visited and did not appear to be any problems.
On there website.they are sweet
Cabin weekends are 2 night stays.
I ran into this last summer at a different state park. I called the campground in advance and they told me as long as the person knew the name of the reservation and the ID # they would be able to check us in. Hope it works out for you!
You'll have to call, different sizes, different cost. Move quickly, such a great place, they get booked fast. They do have spots for tents and such 👍
State park I don't think you can
You can use your tent. Electric only means the site has electricity. It doesn't matter what you are sleeping in.
Wind may be an issue, but beautiful place to picnic.
5 pm for cabins (to accommodate for extra cleaning), 3pm for campsites/RVs :)
Yes but you will want to put something on top, like foil or something
Respectfully it's best to bring your own food. They have charcoal stand-up cookers and benches and a play area for kids up a little further. They have plenty of stores nearby within a mile to get anything that you would need prior to arriving and they also have a place called Big Bo's that has the best ice cream in the area. Every time I go there I always go there and get the bubble gum ice cream, only place within a 25/30 mile radius that has it.
Yes you can fish in either the bay or in the lake..new york does require a fishing license
When we were there on Thursday 6/19 it appeared that everything is open.
Last i heard it was only ones made prior to this season
Yes.
It's about 2/3 mile from the start of the east breakwall to the end of the east pier.
Yes multiple! Lakeside, Bayside, and many grassy area. The grills are the standard square built in's
Pets are allowed but have to have all vaccines and records up to date the sewage is a dump station and no real need for food storage lockers as there are really no bears in that area to worry about.
Yes and yes dogs are allowed with up to date vaccinations
No worse than any other camping experience.
It's down now. You can fish in many areas. I like the pier personally. Peace
Dawn to dusk , I think!!
Assuming you are camping, you will see the park office on the right as you are coming into the park. This is where you check in. If you're going to be in after three call ahead and let them know and they will check you in the next morning.
I would say yes, but just to be sure you should call the administrative office, just check for the number online
Yes & there are grills located around the park also if you want enjoy the water or just playing in a field.
There are charters but call ahead, with the lake being so high it's hit or miss on the charters. Salmon River is about an hour north east of Fairhaven.
Yes it is but they are still maintaining the beach and things are still open for the public to go and enjoy
Free if u walk or bike in, or $8 per car
I was in a cabin that didn't have wifi and also no service but I didn't mind
We paid 20 for non electric. And the park closes for the year Oct 15
Swimming is closed for the season at the state parks, but they'll still let you hang out on the beach as long as you don't go in the water.
There have been bear sightings there... very rare though...
Yeah, when you first get in, before you pay... there is a little station that sells bundles.
Fires are fine I'm not sure how they size fires. But I guess what ever fits in the pit is acceptable. 😁
No bon fires and i believe you have to leave by 8 or 9 pm unless you have a camping area you are staying in.
You can bring your dog to a day site and there are water spickets all around for water.
No we were just there that's closed. Not sure why
Swimming isn't recommended until a guard is there. I believe around 10
Fireworks in the wall of fire will be held on Saturday July 7th at 9:15 p.m.
Have to book Online with reserve America. Com.. Book early... Hard to get good spots if you don't.
They should they have a few of them
Yes, call them and schedulevwhen iffice ooens. Or you can reserve through rec.gov. They have cabins too. Great place, showers too. Hot water. Lolol mark as helpful.
I've never stayed in those Cottages there's actually three there they're not actually in the park themselves they border the park overlooking little Sodus Bay I believe they're accommodated with good Style beds not cots like the cabins
Was there about 2 months ago and they were. Water has been going down steadily.
State park rules. Great beach. Drinking yes...
