Why do staff have to be so disingenuous and condescending???

Wasn't too bad the day I went. I went before they opened it didn't take long.

Trying to have a phone meeting since they want to interview in regards to my son’s services. They don’t even have the correct number to call and the date they gave me I’m unable to do due to a medical situation (life threatening). I have explained and left numerous messages. Left the correct phone number no reply. I did get a call one day from a unidentified Poughkeepsie number and called it back didn’t know who it was or if that was even the office. I have no idea if they are going to take away my sons services. It’s disgusting and now wondering if I should get a lawyer to protect what little my son gets.

It's a simple process, go to your local social security office with 2 forms of ID. They verify your personal information, mothers maiden name, etc. Your replacement card , will be mailed to you in 4-6 weeks.
Yes
I believe you can. Please call the local office for the correct info on how to do that, or go to there website for your answer.
Can I get a new ss card by going on line
The social security office in Poughkeepsie NY is now open to public no appointments necessary. They only take in a certain amount of people at a time though, you wait outside until people leave.
FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND, NONE OF WHAT YOU MENTIONED IS ALLOWED IN ANY FEDERAL BUILDING, LET ALONE SOCIAL SECURITY. I WOULD SUGGEST TALKING TO A SUPERVISOR., THEN REQUEST THEIR BOSS'S INFO IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU HEAR. HOPEFULLY THAT HELPS
It looks like you have to fill out SSA-11 and bring documents to prove your identity
Yes, you can walk in. Also you will need a proper mask.
No, walk in get a number. Which is called over a PA system.
It depends on what you are looking to do. If you go to the website, it states what you can do online. If you prefer to go, it is open to the public, but there may be a wait because there is a limit on how many people are allowed in at once. I hope that helps!
You might want to go there. I sent them paperwork and they still hadn't processed it in 3 months. I went down there and got it done in about a half an hour.
I doubt it very seriously... They only are open during the week and it is hard to get to them now that most are working from home.
You need to call your local ss office and arrange for an appointment. Appointments are on hardship/emergency basis only. Otherwise, by phone or website only.
I'm pretty sure ever major organization has spanish speaking people.
Yes. If you change your name with something as important with Social Security you should wanna make sure all important outlets have your correct name.
Just call the number I don't know sorry good luck
Closed. In line or by phone only. Not likely to be open before April 1 at earliest.
Need death certificate, marriage certificate, birth certificate....
Paper work to cover all marriages and divorces or spousal death.
Yes, you can fill an application out and bring it in one of the Social Security Administration offices or online.
Go to the SSI office. Bring your paperwork.

You need to call them with the specifics of your case. Good luck.
It's better to make an appointment but, yes, you can just walk on. Be prepared for a lengthy wait, though

Not to sure,call social security,
no. you can request one but they mail it to you 10 business days. do it online at myssa.gov
Bring all that with you when u go
I believe yes. You won't get it on the spot. It's mailed to you. Takes at least ten days. They won't give you a receipt. Have photo ID. You can do it online now in a lot of states. Open a My Social security account online.
Keep trying.....maybe don't make it so outrageous. Make user name simple for you, and password complicated.
Yes but need to pay the meter
No
I believe you can. Call the office. You may be able to do it online. Print out form and mail it in or drop it off. Please call the office.
Find the answer on their website, or call them directly for the correct answer. I believe that you may have to submit a certificate of death.
Yes, they are open.
You can get them off the internet. Call and ask them to send through mail.
You can go into the local office without an appointment, but expect to wait about 30 minutes before your turn, unless you are there as soon as they open. They have plenty of chairs.
Joyce, as I understand it if you were married at least 10 years, you can claim his benefits ...rest of details are not as clear in,mimy mind. Check online, call or go in for an appointment...
You probably can access tgat info on their website. Also call them directly to get the correct information.
You can do it online, or print out forms and send them in, or visit the closest office where yiu may need an appointment. Call before you go to the office, they have particular hours. It's not hard to apply for medicare and they are very helpful.
Sorry, I don't have that info. Either go on the SS.gov website or call your nearest office.
