Lovely.

For clarity, entry is free but a donation is suggested. The grounds are lovely to walk around, with plenty of wildlife to spot. The house looks interesting, but we didn't buy a ticket to look around inside, perhaps next time.

I was never there. I'm sure it's lovely

Beautiful small historic venue with charming gardens and lots of beautiful views. Great event space.

All Locust Grove trails are now open daily from 10am - 5pm. You can always check our website - www.lgny.org - for the most up-to-date information!
I'm afraid that we don't have any plexiglass sculptures - after our buildings open in May you can tour the historic mansion with it's original collection of Hudson River School paintings, and 18th and 19th century American furniture. Hope that helps!
Locust Grove's gardens and hiking trails will be open from 10am - 5pm on Monday October 11th!
Absolutely! We just ask that you keep your dog leashed at all times, and clean up after them! Gardens are open every day from 10am - 5pm, and hiking trails open 10am - 5pm starting May 1st.
Thanks for your interest! Our Visitor Welcome Center, with art galleries, restrooms, and Museum Shop is all on one level and is accessible for wheelchairs. The historic mansion has three flights of stairs and no elevator, and the hiking trails are rugged.
A number of hotels are close to Locust Grove. The Poughkeepsie Courtyard Marriott and the Poughkeepsie Holiday Inn Express are just a block away, and the Poughkeepsie Marriott Residence Inn, the Poughkeepsie Hampton Inn, and the Red Roof Inn are less than a mile away. Hope that helps!
