WORST. DECISION. EVER.... I went in to see if I was a candidate for Lasik after my husband had the procedure done. The doctor told me I was not, but that I would eventually need lens replacement. I asked if there were any reasons I should NOT go through with the refractive lens replacement he suggested and he told me, "no" - that any possible imperfections from the procedure could be straightened out with lasers post-surgery. I also asked if I should wait to do the surgery. He explained there was really no reason to wait, other than waiting would result in more drastic "before and after" results (as my natural vision would continue to decline as years passed). I got the surgery done in January and immediately noticed a huge (unfortunate) difference in my vision. First, my distance vision is absolutely horrible now - I cannot read road signs from afar with my left eye and cannot see license plates if more than 12 feet away. Second, the way I see color now in my left eye is completely different, (which isn't helpful given I'm an artist who paints)- I feel the doctor should've asked me if color was important to me, as those in art fields (I've come to learn) do complain of the color shift with this surgery. Third, my peripheral vision in the eye seems to lack. Lastly, I had quite a bit of glare from lights at first- Another doctor there "corrected" the glare issue by doing a quick laser surgery on me that a) did correct the glare, but b) apparently means I can make any attempt to remove/replace the new lens in my eye without the possibility of blinding myself permanently. (I was never told that the quick and painless laser surgery to remove debris would mean I'd not be able to move forward with corrective options, if needed). The doctor who initially suggested I do the refractive lens replacement, (which others have now told me they never would have suggested for me) is no longer there. Hmmmm. I'm EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED that I trusted this place and came out of pocket a few thousand dollars all to end up with worse vision. This is literally the worst decision I've made in my life so far. My eyesight, although decent when tested indoors, is absolutely HORRIBLE in the real world. Just makes me sick.

I had such a great experience and love the results. If you are considering lasik, i highly recommend doing it!

I can't believe I waited so long! The staff at Durrie Vision were all fantastic! They are very friendly and professional. You're probably here, reading reviews (like I did) because you are nervous and want to be sure that you pick the best place for the procedure. I can tell you that it's worth every penny! I've worn glasses since 3rd grade and contacts for 20+ years. My vision was terrible! I couldn't see anything without corrective lenses, if it wasn't 5 inches from my face. Today at my follow up appointment, less than 24 hours after the surgery, I was seeing better than 20/20 (actually seeing 20/15)! Full disclosure, there is a slight halo when looking at lights, but it is improving and am told this is normal and will go away completely as my eyes heal. No pain, minor discomfort in one eye (feels like when you have a little scratch on your contact lens), but drops help and it is nearly non-existent after about 27 hours, post-op. The surgery is completely (yes, completely!) painless and they will give you a little Valium if you want one, to calm your nerves. Overall, I would do this again in a heartbeat! Thank you to Kristi, Joy, Nicole, Brian, Kelly, and Dr. Durrie (The Man, himself)! UPDATE: It's now 2 full weeks post-SBK, and the "halos" I mentioned previously continue to improve. No issue with vision at all in the daytime, and only see slight halo at night with bright lights (i.e. night driving - headlights, street lights, etc.). The discomfort in one eye was gone by the next day, and now only have occasional dryness. I use drops regularly, which helps. Have follow-up appointment in a couple of weeks, so will know more then. I'm getting used to waking up and being able to see clearly, but still find myself reaching for my glasses on the nightstand. UPDATE #2: 4 years later and still have 20/15 vision. Night vision improved greatly and "halos" are not noticeable. Would do this again in a heartbeat.

I had Lasik done and This was by far the easiest and best thing I've ever done for myself! From consultation to post surgical check up, and everything in between... Top treatment! Everyone was so nice and explained every thing in terms I could understand. Clean facility, easy payment methods, the best drs, nurses, techs, and front desk staff. Thank you thank you thank you! I can see and am free from glasses and contacts!!

Stahl I think does more surgeries than Lindquist, but I just had lens replacement, which is basically elective cataract surgery for peeps without cataracts for permanent vision correction. They are EXCELLENT. You will not be disappointed. TOP NOTCH. I mean, it's your eyes, right?! You can't go wrong with either one.
What is a partial? One eye?? I imagine if it's a legit procedure they do it.
I believe they have new procedures for the close vision. The dry eyes may he permanent if the ducts in your eyes for the oils have been damaged. Either way, their consults are free, give them a call
