Helpful staff, worked as a team to get me the info and product I wanted. I choose picking it up and that too was easy. Large showroom and displays were nice. All round great experience. A couple of years ago we bought a rug and that too was a great experience.

This serves as an edited review based upon my full experience with A.J. Rose. Initially, we walked into the store to choose a carpet and inquired first what their ordering/scheduling timeline was. We had a very tight timeline, having just been informed by our contractor that it was time to order carpet, but realistically not being given much of a window to do so. We needed to have this process completed within a month, and absolutely needed the carpet done the week before Christmas. We confirmed with the salesperson that scheduling could be done very quickly (which was not necessarily true and they seemingly did not understand our timeline despite us explaining it very clearly). The showroom is large with what appears to be a huge selection. However, we did not really benefit from this selection as after telling the salesperson what we were generally looking for he just said "This is the one." We were told we could certainly look around. Upon looking around and asking the salesperson the differences between some of the carpets, he had no idea. He just ran his hands over other options and said "this one feels less thick." He was very nice and personable, but just seemed uninterested in selling us anything other than his top of the line carpet and had minimal product knowledge. We nevertheless ended upon ordering the carpet billed as "the one" by the salesman. The measuring process went fine. We again reiterated our time frame. They took their time getting back to us with the finalized quote, a few days later. They would not, however, schedule the carpet install until the carpet actually arrived. We pressed them further, and they finally were willing to do so despite "not liking to do this." Be aware that you will be required to pay IN FULL for the entire carpet when the install is scheduled. I have never encountered another contractor who requires full payment before the product is installed and this provides you with no assurances that they will actually do the job to your satisfaction. You've already paid them. On the day of the carpet install, I was at the house waiting. I was sitting at a window, watching for a truck or something to arrive. I never saw anyone. Apparently the installer arrived and was told by my contractor's people to wait an hour. My contractor's painters had had an issue with the paint in ONE of the two rooms to be carpeted, and was finishing this. The carpet installer waited for an hour, came back in, had an argument with the painter, and stormed off. No one ever came to locate me, who was sitting downstairs in the home and heard none of this. Whether you allege that the carpet installers could not install in a freshly painted room, this is extremely unprofessional behavior. You never tried to call me, never tried to locate me, just had a little childish hissy fit with a painter who barely speaks English and stormed off. This all resulted in our carpet installation to be delayed several days, and significant unnecessary stress on our part just before the holiday. Yes, you were able to schedule the install on Christmas Eve. Great. We slept with mattresses on bare plywood floors for 2 days because of this. We had to pile furniture and other items in other rooms of the house to keep them clear for carpet install for 2 days. All was not well just because you scrambled to get the install done for us before Christmas. Some of the blame for this situation certainly goes to our contractor who was still doing a small amount of work in the rooms in question. But that does not excuse you for not even trying to contact me and for behaving in such an unprofessional manner from beginning to end. The carpet is nice, and that's all. I would not use your store again.

I had LVP installed in my lower level and I can’t say more about how wonderful the install went. Max was a one man show and truly outstanding! He was polite, professional and a hard worker. He show up on time, was extremely efficient, did an amazing job and even went above and beyond installing sliders on all my furniture. If you’re looking for a skilled person to install flooring, Max is the guy you want!!!
