We really enjoyed this place. Definitely an upscale restaurant. They definitely have their oyster game down as the name of the restaurant suggests. We had their fried oysters and I also had their gumbo. It was all good, although my wife's asparagus was a bit woody. The cheesecake was very good, and my wife loved the half shell salad. Service was excellent and the decor was charming.

Visited Half Shell Oyster House for dinner. The seafood bisque and gumbo were both delicious. The shrimp and grits as well as the seafood pasta were off the hook delicious. The seafood potpie was good; but, not what I was expecting. My favorite dish was the sweet potato creme brulee. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very inviting. The service is spot on we did not have to ask for anything.

The place get busy on a weekend, however they have plenty of seats and tables. Their bar also serve food that’s in the menu. The staff in the bar were really nice, I appreciate that you didn’t have to wait for specific server to take care of what you need, seems like everyone in the bar were willing to help and they are working as a team. The food and drinks are excellent. As a first time visitor in this location, I surely recommend this place and will be coming again.

Good food and excellent service. Good came out much hotter than most restaurants around which was a huge plus. Server stayed consistent on making sure we were happy.
