You can. It's better to buy them online a day or more in advance if you can, especially for a newer film, if you want to obtain good seating. All seats are pre-assigned now, making it more of an organized event, rather than just showing up and hoping to find good seats.

You can go-to https://www.marcustheatres.com! You can choose the location, pick your seats and buy the tickets directly. Or you can go-to Fandango.com and buy from a Marcus in the listing. There is a small fee if you go through Fandango. If you have a Marcus movie magic card? You can enter it in the Fandango check out to cancel the fee. Hope this helps!

It's just a term to describe the layout of the theatres. The seats start in lower rows then gradually go up a level so that your seats aren't blocked by the previous rows view.
