Paid for a specialized lifted sole on a shoe and it wore out in three months. The response I got was that they were sorry and would only repair it for a fee. A shoe should not wear out in three months of occasional wear.

I had an unusual request to have the opening of some ankle booties expanded for my cankles (lol). They did a beautiful job preserving (and even improving) the look and style of the boots. We had a detailed consultation about what materials would be used, the final fit goals, and how and where the new materials would be added. The woman behind the counter has an excellent eye for style and the cobbler is clearly a master at what he does. It was 45 apair, so not cheap, but as a woman that struggles with fit on ankle boots, this was 1000% worth every penny. I'll be bringing in more booties soon.
