First time visit: Overall this is a small airport that seems to be run well. Rental Car Return: Return all cars to parking garage located onsite next to airport. Still have a 5 to 10 min walk to terminals after dropping off rental car. Use the moving sidewalks to speed up your walk. Security was quick with and without TSA precheck on Saturday at 1pm. 2 Terminals, A & B, next to each other. Terminal B has 9 gates, A1 thru A9. 1 main eating area with 2 snack kiosk and a typical book and convince store are your choices for meals and drinks. There is an area for you to walk your dog in the terminal. Very few places to charge your phone in gate area. To get on the plane you will use a boarding ramp which you enter from the tarmac. You can choose to use the front or back door loading ramp depending on where you want to sit and how long you want to wait to board.

A great gateway to experiencing the miracle of human flight. Here, you will be able to board any number of large metal canisters and be launched into the stratosphere, where you can REALLY look down on other people. Helps with personal confidence and is completely exhilarating. The food is what you would expect, though the hi ball bar seems to really get jumping around 6:30pm. I have been using this airport my entire life and have never once been disappointed…in all seriousness, this place is way better than LAX - it is faster, smaller, more efficient, not as fancy (but who cares), and they still offer pay phones, a shoe shiner, and classic vending machines. Additionally, the smokers lounge is exquisitely shaded & jaded - you can fill your lungs to the brim with tar to the excruciatingly sweet traffic controllers’ frequent and overlapping whistle blows. It is a divine symphony, a chaos-ode to traffic, a screaming hot, panicked introduction to the city of dreams. A place named for its angels both real and phony, in an airport that gets its beautiful namesake from one of the best silver screen travelers to have ever lived- bob hope, a ghost we all must suffer the world without. Last, and most importantly, you can board & exit planes both from the front and back door here. So when you’re coming to LA from NOT LA, you can get that beautiful hit of sunshine quicker if you sit in the back of the aircraft.

It's very small airport and old. This airport need to be remodel and get some latest technologies. Airport employee's were very nice and much much better than LAX! …

We landed at the Burbank Hollywood airport. The runway is short so the airplane makes a hard fast landing. It a very busy and small airport. The airport has full facilities with a great location to getting to a lot of places within the LA area. We were able to walk out of the airport and make it to Santa Clarita within 30 minutes.

No. And to make it worse, a moving sidewalk was not working 2 of my last 3 hikes over. On bad hip days I have started renting off-airport. Most times I save $$ even after paying Uber $20 each way to a rental car company in Glendale. Consider that a Pro Tip ;)
Burbank unless you come in to LAX at night
Lot A costs $3 for the first hour and $5 for the second but there's a flat $10 fee for the day anything over that is $5 first hour and $9 second
I found the employees very helpful, so any help you might need, I'm sure they will help, no problem!
Yesss 👍!
Guessing that it depends on where your destination is
It's a very, very short walk. You would spend more time driving around to the terminal entrance than you would walking.
Just park at the shopping center by McDonald's. Its only a second to the front of the terminal. You cant park at the drop off and pick up.
1 hour in advance
That would be an excellent question for the airport authority. I am not a coffee drinker, so it's a question I never thought of or have been asked. I will look into it. Have a safe flight.✈
the prices for daily rates depend on where you park...lots A & C are economy lots, uncovered and have a shuttle that runs every 10 mins. they cost about $8-$10 max per day. Lots D & E are closer in. Lot E is uncovered and is directly beside the short term parking in the terminal. Lot D is covered, across the street from Lot E. Both of these lots cost $24 max per day.
Ticket Counter: Terminal A: Southwest, American, JetBlue and Alaska Terminal B: Delta and United Boarding/Gate location: Terminal A: Southwest, American, and JetBlue Terminal B: Delta, United and Alaska
We're looking forward to hearing back from you soon have a wonderful flight.
When my kids were young and with family and friends and away from me, I always had a consent form of some kind . Medical info , my info, etc.
Southwest American Jet blue Delta Flair airlines Alaska United Spirit Avelo Frontier
No free bike parking but SWA has seperate lots around the area which you can park it at for a fee
For what?
No
You can take metro/amtrak from burbank to union station, and from there take the flyaway bus to lax for $9.75.
Whatever sign was posted where you parked should have all the info. If not call the airport and ask to speak to an agent and they can help.
Seem like every airport sorry no escorting to the gate only if you're on a company minor you can be escorted by one family member for your back TSA and airline security that's about it
They earlier you get there the better chances you have at getting a spot. It is NOT a high rise parking structure. Take parking lot C Shuttle bus to terminal, comes every 20 minutes. Other options are to take Metrolink or Amtrak trains that drop you off in walking distance, about 10 minute walk along the sidewalk to the airport. Safe travels
We did not have to have a test to travel to Utah from Burbank
Yes, there are about 6 rental agencies all located in a separate parking garage on site.
Depends what part of the airport you are going. No one should be scared to walk around, unless someone try to enter restricted areas
Southwest, American, jetBlue, Alaska, Delta, United, Spirit, Avelo
The airport opens at 7 am and closes before 10 pm
I fly with Alaska only and I have only deplaned from front of the aircraft.
No. Check their web site for current COVID-19 policies. www.hollywoodburbankairport.com
Yes
Your asking a Map question; on a Map App'? Did you consider using the App'?
Yes, some of the rental agencies offer one-way options. Try hertz.com and select your pick-up and drop-off locations.
Depends on where you're coming from, for the most part the answer is a tentative yes
Yeah, definitely don't take a standard taxi. Try this! Lyft ride estimator: https://www.lyft.com/rider/fare-estimate
No ma'am you will be fine lots of smoke be careful alot of onlookers if you catch my drift.
You can fly to Los Angeles and take ground transportation to Burbank.
Metrolink now offers daily service to the Hollywood Burbank Airport via the Metrolink Antelope Valley Line. ... Passengers can travel between the station and terminal via a free shuttle operated by the Hollywood Burbank Airport.May 14, 2018
Sorry, there are no flights there from Bur. Just make the trip down to LAX and you'll have so many flights to choose from. Good luck
Next to waldo. I'm sure if you talk to an associate from the airport they were direct you the right way. Or even check on Google Maps.
Check their website and if needed give them a call.
Guy fieri has a restaurant. Try the Mac and cheese, it's fantastic!
According to TSA's website marijuana still remains illegal under federal law and is therefore illegal fly with.
Not likely.
Call airlines.. like Southwest.
I'm sorry, don't really understand your question. If it's related to being an Uber driver, I suggest calling Uber because the strikes have been on the news. Each airport may be affected differently. Find out if this is a fix it ticket. I'm sorry that I can't help you more, but if I was an Uber driver who got a ticket I would call Uber and see if they can work it out. Good luck!
8 am
23/day.. 3.50 an hour
No, I don't see any. They have flights to Fresno
You really asking that? Yes.
I suggest 12 Noon for a 2:05 flight. This airport is smaller than LAX, but it still takes time to park, ride the shuttle (if you're parking off property), drop off luggage, get tickets, pass through TSA and walk to the gate. (Depending on which airline the walk takes 1 to 10 minutes.)
You can get to anywhere from Burbank airport, it's just a matter of how many stops you'll have to make. If you're talking about direct flights you will need to research them through the various airline sites, or a service like Expedia.
There a phone you could call, also you could always ask for assistance from any employee working at Burbank Airport who willhelp.you out. I know you should call Super Shuttle they will pick you up and drop you off to your destination.
There is no shuttle service as far as I know. Other than the train/tram, Uber is probably the cheapest. Check the schedules, but I think you can take the Ventura county line to LA Union station. And then Metro Gold line 804 to Memorial Park Station.
The airport never closes.
No school ID is not sufficient. Must be a government issued ID such as a Driver license, passport ....
Call the airline.
You may purchase a plane ticket at the ticket counter for any airline depending where your catching your flight too? Always ask for assistance any employee will gladly help you out and assist you at Hollywood Burbank Airport
Of course!
South is closer, across the street, depending on where you're coming from. Ventura line goes straight to south station. Ventura line needs a transfer at Downtown Burbank to south. North station is direct from Ventura line with a shuttle bus to terminal. Not sure about timing.
From my experience between 7 and 9 am maybe a hour sooner depending where going or coming from and what freeway your on. For the afternoon rush it starts around 3 and ends by 7p if no accident. Some freeways will have carpool lanes that helps a little. I prefer surface streets for the most parts
About 6 miles away. Time will depend on traffic.
There's no cell phone waiting lot at Burbank.. You can park your car at one of the small shopping centers around the area and wait there.
You will want to contact the airline to find out if they can fix that for you. I suggest arriving 2 hours early in case security has a long line. If you do that, you should be fine.
About 6 miles Uber and Lyft are in directly across from United. It a small, well marked airport. It will cost about $20 depending on the time of day. Public transportation is available. Although I have not used it. According to Google, it wll take about one hour to travel by bus.
see above. it runs from $8 per day to $24 per day depending on which lot you park in. there is shuttle service for the lots farther from the terminal, which cost less. There is also valet service and car detailing available in the short term lot.
Marriott across the street
check with each airlines.
Burbank is a small regional airport. Look for the airline sign that you purchased your ticket. They will direct you through the process. Have a safe flight.
Don't understand your question. Have a safe flight
No, but there is a strip-mall next to the airport with a number of restaurants (in case you need a restroom)
Parking in the terminal will cost more than parking in the remote lots. Remote lots have shuttles though. Good Luck. Have a safe trip.
2 hours ahead of your boarding time
There is a waiting lane at the terminal. Just be aware security may make you circle the area as you wait.
I agree with both Erin and Jacob. Enjoy your visit.
$31 is the maximum daily rate. It is less expensive just off airport property. Many lots offer free shuttle service.
The best way to find out is to contact the individual airlines, their websites, or some other app that can show you good prices. I use use Expedia.
Can. But if you fly to Hawaii, they will have to eat on the plane.
I agree with Doug about the hotels & shuttles.
The airport doesn't hire flight attendants, that's done by each airline. Apply to all of them and see what happens. Good luck!
No
Under the canopy directly in front of the United terminal.
No. But Google offers bus routing. Trip takes about one hour fifteenth minutes.
In terminal A for check in and terminal B for security and boarding
There's one on Hollywood way just before you go in to the airport.
In the 70's F. with lots of smoke. The forcast says it will stay that way all week. We are in no fire danger in the city.
I think Alaska or SWA flies direct
Food is not good at BUR. there's a cafeteria type thing, and two coffee bean coffee stands, and a greasburger stand. Better bet is to eat at the food mall at the entrance to the airport on Hollywood way, or at the daily grill at the Marriott.
Alaska airlines
I don't know the official rule but I have been allowed to bring mini bottles
No, but you have to bring your own marshmallows.
