Internet does not work in the hotel (it said the houses don’t have WiFi), I asked and they said “there are a lot of people here”. We stayed in a house (61) so I can’t speak for the hotel. It was filthy and the cleaning staff said “it’s really old so we can’t get it clean anymore”. It’s old but you expect doors to close properly and one of the bathroom handles was missing from a door so we just didn’t use that bathroom which was annoying. At night there is a train stop near by and you hear a loud horn a few times a night (if you’re a sound sleeper you probably wouldn’t notice). A quick note, if you’re the hotel staff and want to respond to the message, please respond with fixes to the problems and photos of a clean house before some platitudes of “we’re so sorry you had a bad stay and we’d love to discuss this more with you”

I had went to this resort while on a fishing trip for a weekend. I liked the place and location of everything. However I understand it's not a typical hotel like a holiday inn or anything like that, Everything around the area was actually pretty expensive to be honest. It was a nice time and the staff were friendly, there wasnt any perks of rooming there other than being able to park our boat at the dock behind the resort, and the beds were really hard and uncomfortable, just not exactly what I had in mind for a resort that was talked up alot as one of my family members favorite place to go.

Lovely, historic place with a game room. The food and drink were exceptional & the servers were very accommodating. They were patient with us and answered many questions. The vegan quinoa dish is superb! We will definitely return & look forward to summertime at Oakwood!

It's a place to visit. Lovely serene environment with neat and wonderful rooms. The cafeteria makes breakfast available every other day. The bar is great all kinds of drinks and wonderful people to have around. The staff are respectful, and willing to start a discussion with you if you so wish. It's a place to revisit. My wife and I had a nice time for Valentine. It was awesome experience. We will like to do this again and again.
