This is an assisted living facility. They have nice little apartments. They feed you and visitors are welcome.

My father was living here for 6 months and just died of pneumonia, they now have a confirmed covid case onsite. They are unacceptably rude, a very very shady organization. They didn't even call us when he was transported to the hospital , where he died the next day without us even knowing. This place is a sham and I wouldn't send anyone I loved there. Please don't send anyone you care about to this place. And on top of that they have now charged me for another months rent for my father who is not only obviously not living there but has also is passed. They haven't responded to phone calls about still being charged rents, refunded us or given us an answer to to their "investigation" about why they called an ambulance but never called us. Keep your elderly relatives safe and avoid this place at all costs.COLD. HEARTED they don't give a f about your relatives. P.S. don't believe the whole they have to ring the bell in the morning because there were plenty of mornings he didn't ring it and they wouldnt check on him for hours. Quick to take your money and that's about it.

I'm the daughter-in-law of a resident who recently passed away. We are devastated by how they handled my father-in-laws medical emergency. Please, I BEG YOU, do not trust them with your loved one. Love and compassion does not live there! Feel free to contact me and I will gladly share our experience. I was even hung up on when I called about everything that happened. That's the kind of people you'll be dealing with at Embark. Now not only are we left to deal with our grief but also the hurt and anger about the way we lost our beloved father.

As somebody who has an elderly parent and is a social worker professionally, I found embark to be a wonderful facility. Staff really care and create a wonderful environment for their residents.

Yes. Our independent living communities welcome dogs and cats, and we have secured outdoor areas where residents can walk and play with their pets. Check with your individual Embark community to see if they have any breed restrictions or specific rules regarding keeping a pet in your apartment. Your pet’s vaccines and veterinary records should be up to date for the safety of your fellow residents and their pets, as well as staff and visitors.
Assisted living communities cater to seniors who are physically or cognitively unable to live on their own. In independent living communities, most adults live alone or as couples, without the need for personal care support or skilled nursing. However, support is available, if needed. The design of an assisted living community is to provide long-term care for an individual who may require support with everyday activities but does not need the level of skilled care that is provided within a nursing home. In comparison, an independent living community is established for an individual who requires little or no assistance in performing their daily routine.
In general, the monthly cost of independent living can range from $1,500 to $10,000 a month. Compared to the costs of home-ownership – which include insurance, taxes, property maintenance, and improvements, utilities, groceries, and possibly housekeeping – an independent living community may be more affordable than you think. Plus, you won’t have to worry about added costs associated with safety and security modifications, and you’ll often have access to convenient entertainment and transportation options you didn’t before. Contact an Embark community near you to get a better idea of the potential costs for you or your loved ones.
Medicare or Medicaid do not cover independent living. Costs are paid by individual residents, but some may find assistance with long-term care insurance or veterans benefits. Many residents pay for independent living by selling or renting out their homes, maximizing their Social Security benefits and/or cashing out investments.
In Embark communities, resident amenities include indoor and outdoor recreational facilities and fitness centers; entertainment and social programs; beautiful outdoor spaces with walking paths and gardens; restaurant-style dining for every meal; and scheduled transportation. Additionally, many communities come complete with a full kitchen, including a stove and dishwasher, as well as washer and dryer units, allowing residents to remain independent. Certain Embark communities have additional amenities unique to their communities, such as heated swimming pools, on-site beauty/barber shops or post offices.
Embark residents enjoy arts and crafts, wine tastings, live musical entertainment, casino trips, visits to local attractions and events, tours, shopping and dining outings, fishing and boating, picnics and other outdoor activities, and more. Our social, creative, entertainment and wellness activities keep residents’ minds and bodies active, promote social engagement and friendship, and give residents opportunities to enjoy favorite activities and discover new passions. There are also off-campus activities, such as organized trips to the zoo or park. We have a monthly calendar of events with hundreds of options so residents can choose an activity that best fits their interests.
Our communities offer scheduled transportation seven days a week to take residents to doctor appointments, grocery stores, local malls and church services on Sundays.
We offer a restaurant-quality menu with a variety of choices daily. We provide three meals a day, and room service is available upon request. Three different entrees are offered at dinner and two at lunch. Plus, there’s an always-available menu for each meal. Residents can expect exceptional dining because our team works hard to meet the residents’ needs and wants. At monthly resident meetings, we ask for input regarding meal preferences.
Our communities have security guards 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to someone always being on-site, we also maintain staffed concierge desks, secured-entry keypads for doors after hours and cameras at all entrances. We hold regular emergency drills, and there are smoke detectors and sprinkler systems throughout the community. Each night, we perform a security check at dinnertime. If a resident does not show up for dinner, we check their apartment to ensure they are safe and well.
