Choosing recovery can be a very difficult decision. We place our lives in the hands of strangers and trust blindly. Something that is so very foreign to us. We are asked to surrender, to give up control and just be. This is the beginning of the fight of our lives for the fight for our life. We think we know what we want and what we need, but we don’t. That is why we are here. I am FOREVER GRATEFUL for the people at Intrepid that touched my life. The people that gave me what I needed when I needed it, that showed me the way, that understood where I’d been, that loved me when I felt unlovable, that saw a light in me when I didn’t, listened when I needed to be heard, comforted when I felt alone, pushed me just enough when I didn’t think I had it in me. While the amenities were great; massage, chiropractor, yoga, meditation, fitness, theater, groups, therapy, CBT, DBT, volleyball, food, rest, medical staff, the people who make it all happen are the real gift. I absolutely recommend anyone struggling with addiction to trust Intrepid to help them begin their recovery journey. I am forever grateful!
