Hi Matthias, Yes, alcohol detox can be dangerous and even deadly. The safest way to detox from alcohol is to do so under expert medical supervision. Qualified doctors can prescribe medication to alleviate some of the more uncomfortable detox symptoms and prevent dangerous outcomes like seizures and delirium tremens. Hi Derrick, medicare does cover addiction treatment however it will only cover state funded treatment centers. As 1 Solution Detox is a private drug and alcohol rehab, we are unable to accept medicare. Hi Chris, Alcohol detox is different for every patient. A lot of factors can influence how severe withdrawal is and how long alcohol withdrawal lasts. These factors include how much you drink, how long you've been drinking, your physical and mental health, and more. For this reason, each patient's alcohol detox protocol is designed to meet their needs.
