When I started working in Midtown again, I walked by the window noticing the brand but also noticing they had models of shoes specific to their store unavailable except through custom order. The gum sole black Cordoban speed lace boots caught my eye. I vowed to go buy them after I got my first paycheck. The gentleman at the store are pros.. real shoe salesmen. They measured my foot and explained the different lasts, how they would fit to me. Surprisingly the boots feel like they were literally made for my weird foot shape. Over the years I have sent them into Alden directly twice for refurb, used the shop’s recommended cobbler who is Alden certified, and been back for a few pairs of laces as I tend to tie them very tight and they wear out. You’re not supposed to wear the boots everyday and I’ve been considering purchasing a second pair so I can never be without them. Thanks guys for the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned!

Great place to shop classic boots.

I went to this store to purchase a pair of boots. I didn't see them so I asked the salesman(who was free) about the boots I was looking for. He said, we don't have that type of boots, now I did my homework before I went to the store and looked them up and it said this store, this location(in stock.) So, I looked up the picture that I saved on my phone and showed him and I said, isn't this ad for this location? Of which he said, oh we are sold out. BUT YOU said, "we don't have those boots as if the store NEVER sold them. I asked, could you check to see if any other locations had them in stock and he said, the boots were made exclusively for Alden Madison Ave, really, ok. He then told me about Ealdwine Raleigh and said they sell a similar boot, he was right. This all took place the day after Thanksgiving. Well, I want to thank him, because I went on Ealdwines website later that day on my way back home to DC and brought two pair of boots and ordered another pair. Too the 2nd salesman who heard our conversation and said that the boots I was looking for had a second run coming, I say THANK YOU.
