Worse place anyone could ever go. Staff was very rude and uneducated. I had a death in my family and spoke to multiple people that said it was fine for me to leave just write the reason down on the sign out sheet. One lady imparticular, can’t remember her name but she was heavy set. She was very rude, ignorant and very unprofessional. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless things have changed since 2018. They do not want anyone to do good. They were mad I already had a job and place lined up when I got there.

When I was in that shelter I had gotten COVID-19. When I was getting out of the hospital they wouldn't let me come back. They didn't pack my thing's fast enough for the Girl's that's stoled from me already. That place is full of Roaches in the kitchen they were in the refrigerator that we used. They just don't care. Not teaching drug addicts any help in meeting for help. It's just a Tax thing there about. I have to tell My Time there to let Women that want to get well not just a roof and of the streets go somewhere else PLEASE

My name is kimblee hanberry this wonderful woman shelter help me so much they had show me so much love and support kindness and up left me they keep me safe and made sure I had everything I needed that stuff and ladies was so very loving and understanding I will miss them but I will never ever get what they given me they did not judge but give me the hope and love I needed at a time that I was ready to give up they prey over me and give me strength to get myself together I will miss everything about the house it's a home of hope love and support and I am for ever grateful thank God for New Direction for Women ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Yes you can take jewelry it's a very clean respectful homeless shelter and it's more of a battered women's shelter than a homeless shelter but they take all types they give the women chores to do every single day but other than chores they get three meals they get cookies and sweets and they have a curfew and a lot of the women weren't just born on the streets buddy lot of them were rich I know one person that owns a 22 bedroom hotel and was driving a $70,000 Mercedes last year s*** happens to people so don't judge I hope someday you get on drugs and mess up your life or lose your job and end up on the streets and a nice homeless shelter like that place Turns You Down but on that note there still are dirty people there if you take jewelry You better lock it up for some people there would happily steal it and go buy drugs and Dusty do you even know what jewelry is you look like the most homely person I've ever seen
