Ordered an instrument, charged for instrument, after 2 weeks and multiple calls and sitting on hold for 45 mins was informed they have no idea when I would receive my instrument. And my refund will take 3-4 weeks.

First of all, they need to extend their store hours for 2 weeks during August when students are renting instruments. I went on a Saturday and the line was over an hour-long. Secondly, a week later, I tried to return a still sealed, unopened package of reeds to the store and was told they were non-returnable, even though their website specifically says, "The following items are returnable only if defective or unopened or unused: strings, reeds, tubes..." I'm going to ask my child's band director to consider recommending a different local business for music needs next year.

If you are renting the instrument from us there is most likely no charge for any repairs. If it is an instrument you already own then there will be a charge for the repair.
Depending on the condition of the instrument and assuming there are no cracks to repair a ballpark price is $350-475. We would give you a solid price before we started the work. They are fine instruments!
Masks are required by customers and employees. Hand sanitizer is readily available in different locations. All repair instruments are quarantined for 1 week before the repair shop works on them and customers with rental instruments are supplied loaners. When a customer auditions an instrument or mouthpiece that instrument is quarantined for a week then sanitized before being put back on the shelf. Mouthpieces are completely sanitized and sealed in shrink wrap. Our lesson rooms have clear curtains between the student and teacher and brass rooms have puppy papers that are changed after each lesson. If the teacher and student/parent agree they are free to pull the clear barrier aside; that is a decision we leave to them individually but we provide the ability to stay as safe as possible considering the situation in a smaller size room. Curbside pickup is always available if requested.

Hi, Sorry for the late response but I have not ever noticed this section before. IPP stands for Instrument Protection Plan and is the part of your rental payment that applies to any needed playing condition repairs and covers the instrument if it is stolen.
I don't know about buying in store, but online they have 2 french horns for sale currently. One is $5,718.00 and the other is $4,459.00. Both are reduced prices.
Yes, we carry most woodwind and brass instruments as well as mouthpieces and other accessories.
Sorry we very rarely rent tubas because they are so expensive! Usually students will get them them from the school at a very reasonable rate.
We do not sell any parts from the repair shop. However in the case of the water key cork we will usually replace them while you wait for just a couple of dollars or less.
