I have lived at Village on the Lake from May 2018 to Jan 2021. Since I moved to oversea because of the military order, I requested to get my deposit money to PO box more than 10 times. a manager told me that she sent it but I have not received the check. it has been 9 months. If i receive the check from the apartment, they can check from their account that i receive it or not. I sent the another email to a manager that hoping to get my deposit money back to me ASAP.

Although the staff is nice the management is a joke. The pool has yet to be open and it’s mid august. The dog park is nothing but a fenced in area. The “valet trash service” will only take 2 bags but they have to fit IN the tiny trash can they give you. It took MONTHS and 3 complaints to get an exterminator out here for the water bugs invading our house. While I was in the hospital my wife noticed a hornets nest on the balcony, she asked for maintenance to come get it. We got a call saying they were about to take it down, when my wife went back home it was still there. They will tell you they have garages when you’re applying for an apartment but there’s a wait list to get one they don’t mention. They only do tours when it’s light out so that you won’t notice the light switch in the bedrooms is connected to the outlets and there’s no actual light. I mentioned when we moved in in January that the fan in the living room wobbles excessively and that still hasn’t been fixed. The “car wash” is a low overhang that has a water hose next to it but it’s almost never on, and a coin operated vacuum. I would never recommend this place or any other place managed by van metre to anyone I care about. The only reason they got 2 stars is because the staff at the front has been nice.
