Spring Lake Public Library

It’s the closest library to us and the staff is helpful and friendly. I love that this library is part of the NC Cardinal system. The two negatives I have are that multiple times our books have not been checked in and they’ve been marked as late or lost on my acct. Also, this library really pushes certain agendas in the children’s section that our family doesn’t appreciate. I don’t know if it’s coming from Cumberland county or the library staff but those books should only be displayed so prominently if opposing opinions are displayed the same way.

The kids area is kept neat. There are a few toys/puzzles laid out for use. Not much else. Some library have crayons or print out that kids can color or go by a monthly or weekly theme. They did have bag mini crafts you could take home and assemble together or child alone if old enough and a board posted at the entrance about monthly activities.

I always get a bad feeling at this library. I truly understand the mask requirement, but the moment I my mask came down. The librarian pups out stating that they are getting compliants about my masks but not about couple talking loudly.
