It’s in the middle of a desert effectively. So adjust your expectations. It’s clean and the air con is good. Service is great. I’ve stayed at this place three times over 20 years. Character always carries it to 5. Amenities and in room set-up wouldn’t. There are no safes in the room. So if travelling with say your passport and a laptop be aware.

Had a lovely time at the Stovepipe Wells Village Hotel! We were there a few days ago (the middle of summer) so it was really hot and not a lot of people. All of the staff was really nice and helpful and the food was amazing. Also the perfect place for stargazing at night. I recommend driving to the sand dunes (1.5 mile drive) when it's dark so you can enjoy even more stars without the lights from the hotel!

Staff very friendly, rooms large with air conditioning and ours had a porch. Surrounded by beauty and heat. If you are looking for 5* then look elsewhere, but if you want a traditional hotel in the desert with good food and great staff then this is the hotel

Pros- gas is $2 a gallon cheaper here than furnace creek. Check in was not what I expected- host was rude and we were Told to come back in two hours when that is the check in time. The property is clearly not booked, the host want to engage, be helpful, just said to check back later. - It’s great for being so close to the dunes, and it was cheaper than the other places, I don’t expect much.

Yes No problem.
It's always best to make a reservation, especially if you are looking for a full hookup
Mostly yes with att and Verizon. Very limited internet though. I would recommend downloading death valley on Google maps prior to arrival.
Does any body live around there?
There should be a water fountain available near the bathrooms by the general or you can go into the restaurant and ask for water.
