From past experiences with other Best Westerns, I did not expect much. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The Old Country Best Western was wonderful. To start with, the front desk were courteous and helpful. I requested extra pillows and a quiet location. The room was very clean and the extra pillows were neatly on the bed. The room had plenty of space for us. The refrigerator and microwave were spotless, so I did not hesitate to put our food in them. We couldn't hear a sound from outside the room, even though, Hwy 5 and other guests were nearby. Breakfast was included. I didn't have a freshly made waffle. But they smelled good. They did have the basic hot foods, egg patties, sausage patties, and potatoes. There was good assortment of breakfast foods, something for everyone. The wonderful staff made sure there was food in the trays and spot cleaning as needed. Check out was easy. Once again the staff was very pleasant. I would stay at this Old Country Best Western again.

Positive: This was a VERY nice two queen room--very BIG, current & attractive decor. Comfy chair, big desk and lots of surfaces to place things. There were many electrical/phone outlets at various locations throughout the room. Staff was kind and helpful. Negative: Mostly great room so this feels like nit-picking. Sound of doors shutting was pretty loud. Very small pillows (which I think is a new thing now, because this was true recently) at another hotel in different hotel chair. Sheets were a little scratchy.

I'm giving this three stars because the beds were comfortable and because the carpet and furniture looked to be nearly new. Also, for a facility that appears to be undergoing construction on every building it was very quiet. The towels and wash cloth count did not match occupancy of the room. There were spider webs in multiple ceiling corners. We had flies in our room all night plus a few bugs we could not identify (NOT bed bugs). I would not be stopping here for pleasure but if I needed to, I'd give them another chance.
