I miss everything about St. Peter & Paul's! (Living now in Seattle). Back in the day attended Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd & 4th grades at St. Pete's. My kindergarten teacher, believe I remember her to be Sr. Antoi nette, was the same nun who taught my father and undoubtedbly his 4 brothers and two sisters as well. She would help us relax during our nap time by playing a recording of Brahm's Lullaby. 1st grade?...draw a blank regarding teacher...simply remember her to be very stern, 3rd grade with Ms. Schultz, 4th with Mrs. Ferraro. Some names of classmates remembered are Bonny, Tamara, Betsy, Peggy, Elizabeth, Matthew and George. This was all before the 2nd Ecumenical Council and wistfully remember the church interior, Latin Mass, statuary and heavenly ceiling murals. Gorgeous voices emanating from the choir loft with stained glass Rose Window..and Father Veit as well.... I remember him walking the school grounds with his St. Bernard. Wonderful, magical, spirit filled! A literal cornerstone of dear Hamburg, 'The Town That Friendship Built'! Virtually transport myself there as often as possible. I left my heart in Hamburg!

It's a Catholic church and I'm not Catholic what more can I say. Nice architecture.
