This could have been so much better. Few of the exhibits convey worthwhile Gallatin history. Not worth the time or cost.

A short visit, but interesting view into real frontier life and law enforcement at the time. Museum is a converted jail house. Worth an hour visit

EXCELLENT history museum. If at all possible, try to get one of the staff to give you a tour (or at least a partial tour, makes all the difference in the world). We had a docent whose family is 4th or 5th generation in the area so she was very knowledgeable. I found the prison and prisoner info (including the gallows) fascinating. If you're a history buff give yourself at least 2 hours to tour this museum. The installations on the early homesteaders is also worth checking out. A real highlight of my visit to Bozeman.

Do you have any photos of Beall Park circa 1960's that might show the snow piled on the north side of the ice rink and the "pump pump pull away" area roped off on the north side as well?
