Some of the employees could be more informative during the process of getting a kayak and getting on the river. Some of the equipment could use an update including the transportation.

Yes, call in advance, especially if you are trying to kayak on the weekend. Typically, if you bring your own kayak, it is still $15 for them to tow it (as opposed to $25). I'd imagine if it was inflatable and was not already blown up on the bus ride, they might not charge you, but IDK. Bring a life jacket, if you have one, as its required. It's $5 to rent.

The water level is good. Most of our kayaks have a limit of 250. He should be fine if he is in good physical condition. No reservations needed, just show up. Come between 9 am and 2:30 pm. The earlier the better.
