If you go to NCDOT.gov and go to the DMV locations, when it says "open" you can do a walk in. Make sure to bring everything you need or they can send you home right away.

As the previous responder noted, an appointment means waiting until September. Walk ins are allowed, get there as early as possible. By 8 there is a line in front of the door. Depending on how crowded it is, they can check your documents and give you a text message telling you to return later that day or the next.

Not sure about overnight parking but if you need to visit a business here or the DMV on Saturday, then yes you can park here.

They're not answering the phones now. But, if you need a license or state ID, there ARE taking walk-ins now. They advised me last week that early mornings are the best time to get in and out quickly. Otherwise, be prepared to wait at least an hour or two. Good luck!
