Directional signage is poor. It's difficult to tell where to turn and one exit gate wasn't working and there wasn't a sign saying that so I had to back up and use the other one.

No. In fact, after a certain time, the gates are typically open. Meaning there's no charge. But this is obviously in the evening time.
About 7ft at the Marriot and it's better at the parking deck across the street. U can get in there n problem.

Yes, you pay at a Kiosk. So take the ticket with you. Makes it easier to exit. No waiting.
