Yes, we do! Once construction is complete, we can assess your home and prepare a list of items to be repaired prior to your “walk through” with the builder, giving you leverage.
North Carolina and South Carolina both require licensing for home inspectors. Both states have a list of minimum Standards of Practice (SOPs), which include inspecting the structure, exterior, roofing, plumbing, heating & air conditioning, electrical, interior, insulation/ventilation & built-in kitchen appliances. All inspectors are licensed professionals with years of training and on-site experience. In addition, we offer a free one year “Total Home Support” gift membership with Home Owners Network. This membership provides: • 90-day Home Inspection Warranty registration • Mobile app “Ask the Experts” • List of qualified local contractors • Property 24/7 Emergency Hot Line support • Appliance recall alerts • Concierge utility service set ups • Home security program rebate • Discounted locksmith re-key programs • Member savings discounts
The EPA states that remediation is necessary when radon levels are recorded above 4 picocuries per liter, or pCi/L. Although Americas Choice does not perform mitigation, we can refer you to a nationally certified mitigation company. Some systems can remove as much as 99 percent of the gas.
An Americas Choice home inspector will evaluate your house from roof to foundation following the Standards of Practice set by the state to include: Structure • Exterior • Roofing • Plumbing • Heating & Air Conditioning • Garage • Electrical System • Interior • Insulation/Ventilation • Built-In Kitchen Appliances
Since 2009, we’ve performed thousands of home inspections!
Yes! All of our seasoned inspectors are licensed by the state of North Carolina and receive ongoing training and education.
No we are not.
WDIR is the acronym for North Carolina’s “Wood Destroying Insect Report”. All of our inspectors are licensed by the NC Department of Agriculture to perform a wood destroying insect inspection and to provide this report.
We offer wood destroying insect reports, radon testing (with monitors only), irrigation system inspections, various types of water testing, mold testing, pool inspections, and new construction pre-drywall inspections.
The cost of a home inspection varies and is determined by the age of the property and square footage.
