I've been there a few times since authorized to speak and handle affairs for a loved one. Surprisingly, they are quite friendly and efficient for a government agency. No long wait times either. I'm impressed.

I am a disabled man I have been discriminated by housing assistance because I am disabled. The requirements change on a whim. The social workers sent a shrink and cops to my primary doctors office and illegally detained me because I was sad. Been waiting two weeks for a new social worker, spoke with supervisors, they say that social worker doesn't work here anymore so we don't have access to her notes on why I was held prisoner by Berkeley police at my doctors office. Eventhough the y broke all recommendations from the Attorney generals office on handling a person with a "mental crisis" and discriminating against me because I am disabled. It has been a year since I became homeless. Just think about going through June July and August without a shower.

Staff should remember if not for the clients they would not have a job instead of treating clients like somethingbthey would scrape off their shoes.

There is "peoples pantry" on hooper ave before the DMV and the give you groceries once a month
sorry I wish did get cash plus FELT. May I ask how you do that cud for real thsts what I friggin need no joke. Buy how do you ask ques on this site.
Yes...simply call that number and you may need to.prive your new address at the Hooper Ave. site in Toms River. Simple. In and out.fairly quickly.
Housing Authority usually has a waiting list of over a year for Section 8/HUD low cost housing. The social services office will be able to set her up with everything she needs. They can even give her a referral to a local food bank to hold here over until SNAP is available. She might be able to get something more affordable if she looks for people renting out rooms. There's a lot of people doing that to make extra money. Being a housemate can be odd and trying at times but it beats being homeless.
Go there in person. That's your best bet. Good luck.
Call them 732) 349-1500
You need their Birth Certificate with a raised seal and their Social Security card.
You can actually do it right online. I have myself and its a fairly quick process too. You fill out the online form and a worker will get back to you fairly quick and they will answer all of your questions and let you know what you may need and guide you the right way.
It's just the process..there r alot of ppl needing help. .plz try n be Patient
You can call them for a telephone interview
Why do you think they will take your home?
Not taking ppl in person but offices are open to walk in for application
They can lead you to legal help and things like that
Go to the courts in toms river on Hooper Avenue, and seek custody. Good luck & Gob bless you and ur family.
Yes until 430pm
Go to the food stamp building and ask to apply they will show you the steps to take to apply for it.
There is the bus. NJ Transit route 67. Goes Toms River Park and Ride via Hooper Ave. Discount on bus with a Medicare card. Also Lakewood bus station Depending on where you are coming from. Most 67 bus routes are local. 67 going North it says 67 Newark via Lakewood. Going southbound 67 Toms River via Lakewood. There is also Ocean County bus route called Toms River connection route.
For what?
They used to im not sure if they do anhmore. However then can guide you in the right direction.
Your drivers license has nothing to do with Ocean County Board of Social Services. You would have to go to Eatontown NJ DMV to handle your business with the dui and your license etc..
Personal preference program...ppp. you become pca aka hha for a special needs child or elderly dependent. Takes 2 to 6 months to get approved. Patient must be on Medicaid or medicare.
You can go online an do your application there an on your appl make sure you indicate your homeless then after you do the application , they will ask you to go there to pick up your EBT card make you get it so it dont get lost ..ya kno but everything else could be done online... I hope this helps
Be inside at 8am and don't expect to see anyone before 8:30am (9:00am Friday). Also, don't be upset if you don't see anyone before 10:00am. Its different for everyone but there is a first come first served waiting list. Aso know what building and branch of social services you need to be at ASAP. This way you wont waist your day at the wrong office.
