How to dispose of hard covered books
I believe I saw a bin there for batteries. I clearly remember a sign saying "do not mix battery types."
Household drop off is only open saturday from 10am to 5pm and the last friday of every month same hours. Do not leave anything if no one is there!
I think the place we went to in college point is for stuff that needs to be recycled or ecologically disposed of, such as rubber tires, electronics etc. For natural materials, it's probably the same as where they mulch trees, etc. good luck !
I was able to drop off a flat screen TV on Sunday. No issues
That gets put out with your home's garbage. It has to be wrapped in plastic.
Take it to the College Point dump, every Saturday at 10am they open, and the last Friday of the month.

Yes you can
Water heaters can be placed at the curb and on recycling day it will be picked up by the collection truck.
It depends where you live in the city, but you're supposed to put tree branches out in a bundle and call the Parks Dept., they're supposed to chip the wood.
Yes. Anything electronic can be dropped off.
Yes, you can
