I've come to the conclusion that many of the 5-star reviews for this facility are from the staff. I brought my healthy, beloved cat in for a dental. She was bright-eyed and healthy at the time. When she returned home, her right eye was darker than her left and it continues to grow darker. I am FURIOUS that this was allowed to happen to my beloved pet! BEWARE before you bring your feline here for any type of dental procedure. They use aggressive tactics to keep their mouth open and it damaged the artery to my cat's eye. The dentist was not helpful when this change was brought to his attention during my pet's post-operative exam. He cared more about hearing himself talk and taking over $4000.00 of my money, than caring for my animal.

Dr. Jung is exceptionally knowledgeable and very kind to my dog. He took the best care of him. For all your dentistry needs he is a must!

I'm so glad I brought my cat, Midnight, here. They helped him with his urinary blockage. The doctors, nurses, staff were all helpful, respectful and kind. They constantly kept me updated on my cat's progress, even while he was in the hospital for a few days; I heard from the doctor or spoke to someone every day. Much respect and thanks goes out to everyone at AERA !!! I can't thank you enough ❣❤❣

Generally no. There's no full time exotics or avian doctor, but they sometimes have relief/per diem veterinarians that are able to see them. Always go with your first/place you KNOW sees birds, but there's always a chance that a hospital has a visiting doctor that can see specific cases
No, did everything by phone and when appointment is set then text you. When you get there a tech will come out and take your pet. Doctor will then call you. Masks are required. Good luck
Go straight to Animal Emergency Room in Fairfield
I took my cat to ASPCA low cost Clinic in Newark. I find they'd been shut down Via state. They referred me to a Dr.Tony in Elizabet NJ. Upon waiting for 45 minutes Quote "have to take him to EMG" he was very busy & had to go to Pennsylvania. Being as time was not on (My 🐈) Side I told Dr.Tony to show me what to do and I would do it myself. Only then got a catheter & drained the urine. I was so grateful and happy $140.00 No Receipt. He stepped out leaving to another room he said " I'll be in & out. I have other patients. He returns looking sweaty (Wierd) gave Jack some pain meds and insulin. I never questioned the insulin. Looking back I should have, jack went into seizures at 11pm. I take him to the Emg in Fairfield imaginary tests. He had hypoglycemia & Crystals in his bladder $1,377.00 overnight no Scrips or aftercare. I take him to East Orange animal hospital NJ to find all it was a bladder infection. Dr Santiago charged me $144.00 4days & meds. Fairfield EMG is a money GrubHub!
