Been coming to this area for six years and finally happened upon the Shrimp Shack for lunch today when they were open, meaning Wednesday through Saturday 11am-until they feel like closing (but no later than 2pm). Shrimp dinner, Flounder dinner (why dinner when you close at 2?) and The famous shrimp burger (go find a good crab cake sammich and forget there ever was a shrimp burger or get some good shrimp and hush puppies squish em together and you have made your own shrimp burger and I hope it didn’t cost you $9). Food was small in portion but good. Someone needs to come here to teach the low country what a hush puppy is, these were tasteless. The sad truth is that if you have a favorite restaurant that feeds you well without trying to empty your checking account, cling to it like nothing else matters, because it don’t…

I havent been there since 2001, and it hasnt changed at all. Shrimp burger & hushpuppies were very good. It was worth the wait
