This place gave me so much help when taking my misbehaving cat into them. The fact that this is a no kill shelter is wonderful. I was very sad but they found someone to work with her immediately giving me peace of mind. The cats seem well spaced and taken care of. One cat was roaming around free which gave me a cat to pet as I was leaving her and this was comforting. I highly recommend them to volunteer work or donate food and litter.

The last answered the phone talking rudely. As if she did not like or want her job. If I'm adopting a dog. As my own animal how can you tell me where I need to take my dog .. that's not right. I don't recommend this facility to anyone.

We had a stray kitten show up at our house. We couldn’t find the owner and being the weekend, there was no place open except for this place. They took the sweet kitten in and I am hopeful they will find a good home for it. I am thankful for their generosity.

It’s been two years since I adopted my cat here. I just called CARA for help with documents. The lady who handed the cat to me in the first place still remember me and my cat. She told me that they’ll always welcome him back to the shelter …

Cat chow. (Blue bag) thank you
It's always a good idea to call before just showing up.
It's a no kill shelter
You can do either. Might be easier though the web site. You do know we have a new site up and going? Thank you from our hearts and the little ones for your donations.
150 but its free to foster until you're ready to fully adopt a pet!
Yes we do. Call (217) 655-4353 to see if we have some to give.
