So to start of we wanted to come in and just look at the dogs to see if there were any that may caught our eye because we were looking for a dog well the owner wasn’t even there and they wouldn’t even let us through the gate we attempted to …We do require a vet reference, we are very serious about adopters for our pets, they have to have a great reference, we will never stop that. Ppl want to come and walk out with a pet, but they cannot do that here. It always makes me sad for ppl to not respect us taking care of our pets. Also, we do take appts for visits. I am not always there, and I have to be because I am the one that knows which pets are available and all about them. Hence the appt for visits. Again, we do all this because our pets are very important to us and we want the very best homes for them. We will always do this. I have never not let visitors come in when I am there, never, but I always do explain what our adoption procedures are. The only bad reviews we ever get is because they do not like us having strict polices with our pets, but we are very proud of that here.

This rescue organization is amazing! They do so much for our area and have for so many years. They have saved so many animals and I have seen firsthand the work they do and what a difference it makes. I know many people who have adopted …Thank you very much !!

This place was the greatest! Our living situation changed dramatically and unfortunately we could not keep our dog due to the recent events. We tried several agencies to re-home our pet. We searched on line. Checked with friends and co workers and no one could help. We were at a point where our pet would have to be put down because of no other options . However, Ms. Teresa heard our issue and gave Kane a chance . The staff their was super helpful and friendly . The pets there look like they have great care and love. It was such a bitter sweet situation but they made us feel much better knowing that they would do their best to find him a new forever home. I believe it was Doug that took him in that walked him and it seemed like he took right to him . Thank you so much ! Thank you all for your time and thank you all for your efforts!

Questions & Answers

Hi! I was wondering if y'all take volunteers under the age of 16. I'm 14 and very interested in being a veterinarian one day and would love to volunteer. But, I understand if i happen to be too young.

The Ark Forgotten Felines Cora's Critters Felines and Canines AFK Cat and Kitten Rescue I would google each and get email addresses and email pics and beg, and also look them up on FB and do the same thing, there are so many cats and kittens out there because there is no leash law and the city ands counties won't change any laws to help. I hope this helps.

Hello, thank you for contacting us. Since we are a no kill and do not put animals to sleep when we are full, we cannot take animals all the time, we have to have a space, so we make an appt with you and you bring for me to take pics and I need to see all vetting paperwork on that animals at the same time and we work on placing them while you keep, we have to have a space for them, so we need your help to work on the animal while you keep, Contact us on our page if you would like to work with us. Debbie

They don't have kittens.

A cat showed up at my door. I've decided to open up my home to her. I wanted to know if she was fixed. Is there any way you can tell if I brought her in? Thanks

To know if a cat has been spayed, look on her abdomen where a 1- to 2-inch scar should be noticeable, but a veterinarian can confirm that a feline has been spayed.
