Sufficient for an overnight stay while traveling. Decent location. As others have pointed out, back parking lot was a little sketchy with loiterers, presumably (hopefully) extended stay guests. But they seemed relatively harmless. I felt the rooms were adequate and clean. Overall a decent stay. Probably not ideal for high maintenance types. 3.5/5

The Rutherfords

When I first checked in I was pleasantly surprised but during our 2-Night stay it became very obvious that things were not going to go as well as I hoped. At check-in I was asked for my card for incidentals, totally normal. I instantly got an alert from my bank that I was charged $158.68, to me that amount was NOT normal. I asked the clerk at the desk if that was for incidentals and to be returned. She told me yes and that I should expect to see it 4a or the morning after check-in (no cent has yet to be returned). Get to my room, do the normal check for creepy crawlys, and everything seems to be in order bug wise (I was pleasantly surprised to see they used mattress protectors), but the rest of the room is completely out of date and a bit questionable. My curtain had a complete tear down the middle, the shower's ceiling was cracking, the bathtub had a hole in it, and there was no safe. The hot water was also an issue as my shower would go from extreme hot to ice cold. We went to the pool that night and for a heated pool it had the same issue that my shower did, the jets would put out hot water for a little bit and then it would turn ice cold, defeating the purpose of the heated pool. The pool area was also covered in mold and rust and the sealing around the pool was peeling and a tripping hazard for my daughter's little feet. There were also no towels available in the pool area and when asking a staff member for additional towels you would have thought we asked them to open up a vault full of money. During both breakfasts we had at the hotel, the staff continued to be unhappy as there was huffing and puffing at every task and, again, be very cautious about asking for anything that needs refilled. Not to mention when trying to make toast my bread was VERY stale and when trying to make a bagel I found mold. To finish off the fun we had, when checking out, I, again, asked about the amount I was charged at check-in because it still didn't sit right with me. She told me she'd print me out a receipt but instantly said she couldn't because I booked online and the rates differed and therefore I couldn't see it written out. Then she told me the $100 was for incidentals and would be returned to me. The $58.68 was the additional amount owed because I booked online and was not charged the correct amount at booking through the 3rd party and I would need to take that amount up with them. All-in-all I left with a very sour taste in my mouth and I will absolutely not be returning.

It's conveniently located and the staff are friendly. There was an old desk from one of the rooms sitting outside the main entrance. Kids were tracking water from the pool into the lobby area. The interior has been updated. One of our rooms had a nice desk chair; the other had one that looked like it belonged on the curb outside a university dorm building. The beds were clean. One bathtub faucet leaked, the other bathtub had a slow drain. A previous guest left nose pickings on one of the shower curtains. Overall, about what you'd expect from an economy stay.

The breakfast was good with lots of variety. The beds were clean and comfortable. However, the bathroom floor was absolutely filthy. It has not been swept or mopped in forever. I took a wash rag and swept across the bathroom floor and it was brown with hair, including pubic hair. The toilet was not well cleaned and the shower needed a little more cleaning. There was also a fight among several other residents and after there was a lot of noise and people who were bleeding standing around the hotel. It was disgusting and very uncomfortable. The swimming pool was really cold and did not appear very clean.
