Pomperaug Golf Course

I went out last weekend for my first time playing Pomperaug. I was only playing here because of the available tee times, which there were plenty. The course was in very poor condition though. Burnt spots on the fairways and dirt made it more favourable for a 2nd shot in the rough. The greens also were in rough shape with patchy spots all over. I think this place has potential but it seems the ground crew have a lot of work to this course.

Patchy, burned out fairways; crabgrass rough; weeds in the sand traps. No drainage on the greens. Nice people, but this place has seen better days.

Played the course on this past weekend. Do not waste your time. Fairways lack grass with just hard packed dirt left. Most bunkers have not be raked in years weeds growing in all parts of the bunkers. Worst course I have ever played

Great course that is easily walkable. Per dollar, this is the best place to sneak a round in and feel like you got your money's worth. Tom is the man!
