This place is a circus. The doctor we got was a younger doctor and not well educated. Everyone knows cancers feed on sugar. You don't have to be a doctor to know sugar isn't recommended while you have cancer. We had a doctor with 27 years experience tell us we only need surgery and no chemo and radiation is needed. He specifically told us to let him know if a doctor pushed this treatment. A doctor here did push this treatment the doctoronly has 14 years experience and that's when we realized it's all about the money and not the well being of people. This place is a joke and I do not reccomend going here unless you do not value your life. You should have seen the list for approved foods he had given us, tons of sugars were allowed but are not reccomended during cancer treatments.

AVOID THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL COSTS. My experience with Emory has been absolutely awful on the customer service side of things. Their portal/billing system is horrific. They sure do want their money even if you financially can’t, but if they owe you any money they will NOT notify you. By the time you do realize, they will tell you “oh.. well it’s been more than 24 hours so we will send you a check in 10 days :)” … I’m sorry what??! Why can’t it just be sent back to my card?Wait times are horrible. Staff are very rude and impatient. This is primarily a cancer institute. Imagine how I felt at 22 years old being told I have the beginning stages of thyroid cancer and the front staff were beyond unempathetic and straight up rude. I completely understand this just a job to some people, but come on… you know the type of business you work in. Just do better. If you would like a better experience go to Northside.

Dysfunction junction. If you ever get to see one of the excellent surgeons, doctors, nurses or other professionals, they are top notch. Unfortunately there is an army of incompetents standing in the way.

I'm guessing because you're a parent that they are monitoring your behavior because of something having to do with your child?
It depends on the type of complaint. If it is a licensed provider (MD/DO/PA/NP) go to the GA composite state board of medical examiners. If it is a Quality issue, you can file a complaint with JACHO or the GA Dept. of Community Health. If it is a fraud/billing complaint, you can file a complaint for Medicare/Medicaid with CMS. If it is a general staffing complaint, try the HR department.
they get your number and the nurse and or the doctor will call you
I have found that their oncology department is TERRIBLE! There is no coordination of care amongst the various providers assigned to your care. Now, if you have a very straight forward case that is simple, you might do well there but otherwise may I suggest you take your loved one to Cancer Treatment Centers of America. They have a very comprehensive approach to managing the cancer patient. I'm about to transfer a family member from the Emory campus to CTCA for treatment. These people at the Clifton Road hospital do not have their act together. If you wait on them, you might now survive the process.
Valet companies and hospitals work together now to truly take advantage of people who need medical care. In Emory's case, its location and parking infrastructure is very inconvenient. Enter another valet company to take advantage of the sick and their families. Yes, they charge you for parking.
This is a very large hospital with alot of staff that don't know what the other one is doing. You have to leave a message in a portal to even get an answer from your doctor it's a mess. My husband has stage 4 cancer that spread from his lung to his brain and now going through radiation and the pallative care doctor won't even write him pain meds. She told him he needed to go see an addictionalogist??? The main goal of pallative care is to treat pain especially in end stage cancer patients. Wouldn't recommend this hospital because of all the confusion and our experience with the pallative care doctor. Plus they filed for his disability and I can't even get the social worker that's handling that here at Emory on the phone?
There are 4 different hospitals.. Emory University Hospital midtown, st Joseph hospital, John's Creek, Emory Dekalb
No. I was there because of a follow up from one of their Urgent Care facilities......
I would most definitely take the drive!!!!
Neurology Department
Still don't believe they allowing visitors to wait. Please call your office and ask them to get you a clear answer.
I would ask a Emory University hospital staff member who they recommend or look up a list of surgical doctors at Emory
Yes if the room number has a T in it, it means Tower.
Yes call the information desk and they may can answer that question.
You have to contact the hospital.
Such a long day....😖 At the university inn. My paper states procedure is at EUH Directions say "check in @ outpatient surgery....use the emg. room ent. To access the valet/patient drop off area....once in hospital A-B elevator. Do I make a right on Clifton go under walking bridge than where do I go? Or Walk across street to parking garage and walk to hospital. Just confused where emergency room entrance is located.

Have they checked her out for Kidney failure as well? That may be the cause for the fluid retention.
Myrbetriq is a highly desired drug for urinary/bladder control. It is expensive and preferred by urologists. It is highly controlled by insurance companies.
Don't know, but Google the key words
Unfortunately, Dr. Hoskins doesn't practice at Emory anymore. It's a shame too. He's a fantastic doc.
Go somewhere else! Emory hospital will let you die if you have a relative that violates probation

They are the best anywhere
