Great place to revive someone after a traumatic event, accident. However I've had two interactions with the pain clinic and the front desk young lady has been extremely rude with my patient and me. No customer service skills.

Excellent Doctors Great customer care Up to the minute on new developments

What an overwhelmingly inefficient infrastructure! Everything from patient check-in to paying the bill is permeated with repetitive and laborious procedures. They finally have MyChart installed but you cannot make payments with it! This is ridiculous and requires sending payments via US mail. To complicate the matter, you get two bills; one from doctor and another from the Center. An overwhelming number of employees are slow and inarticulate. Again, this requires multiple attempts to complete even the simplest of tasks. If only the low level of operations could be matched by the high level of care, Shepherd Center could be something to celebrate.

Absolutely amazing and friendly staff. Always caring and kind. Wouldn't want anyone was else helping with my MS.

There are some great resources online that will cover an electric lift giving your son independence to have a higher quality of life.

It varies based on your insurance and coverage paraneters.
And
You probably need to contact Shepherd Center. I think the hotels change. They will give you a pass at the center when you get there with a list of participating hotels too.
I think they do, but I'm not positive. I do know that they take Medicare. They do have a Financial Counselor that you can talk to and they're the ones to ask about that, plus give you some good resources to help you. Everyone is there to help you! I hope my answer helps! 😊
As you know head and neck and back injuries are very circumstantial no one understands how some people get completely better and some people don't but if you have a chance this is the best place in the country speaking as a past patient
Looking for options of care for my son any info would be greatly appreciated

I wouldn't worry too much about how hard it is to get in. Once you're in, it is honestly the best place to get treated at.
They don't preform surgery. All operations are out sourced to Piedmont Hospital which is adjacent to the Shepherds Center. The Shepherd Center only deals with rehabilitation. However, they deal with Aute and Post Acute rehabilitation. They have a fully staffed Pulmonary, Cardiology and Neurology teams as well as nursing staff and both physical, occupational and recreational therapists.
I am not sure, but there are faculties that can point you in the best direction. Give them a call, it's worth it. The Shepherd Center is excellent.
I recommend Shepherd center. My fiance has a high spinal cord injury and because of that place he is able to walk with a walker now (1 year later). We go back there for therapy every 6 months. They are amazing. God is just working miracles there. I hope this helps. I will pray for daughter in law. God bless.
Just under a million
Possibly, they may have financial aid, you would have to call
Call Wendy at this number in the listing, she can help you. I just left a 6 week stay there. They are wonderful. She will help you

Hi, Please check https://www.shepherd.org/employment for all open opportunities.
The apartments are fairly small. There is a living rm and kitchen combo. Small hallway with a fairly large bathroom. Beyond that is 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. The living rm has a sleeper sofa too. Would be a little cramped for more than 2 people.
Definitely two people and maybe three. Anymore than that would be too crowded.
A list of Shepherd Center's medical staff and their bios can be found here: https://www.shepherd.org/about/medical-staff
The neurologists in the Andrew C. Carlos Multiple Sclerosis Institute at Shepherd Center do see patients with NMO. Are you saying that happened at the Shepherd Center
I would suggest calling to get this questioned answered.
I agree.... You should come get check up... They do great work.
Hi. At best I think you would have to have a referral, but I don't think they wouldn't be able to assist you with your situation. Good luck.
It really depends on the coverage of your insurance provider. Your safest bet is to call them or call your insurance provider
OK good. They gave her 30 days but she used them all up. And she doesn't have the money to get a hotel room all the time. When she graduates to the next level they said she could get an apt with her
Yes, In therapy if you have enough function
