I just received a call from a foreign dude that says my number has been shut down and I asked him my number he hung up...All I could hear in the background was ppl making n taking calls ..probably calling ppl like us, trying to get all of our hard earned money from their Call Center in Georgia...I also saved the number that he called from if anyone's interested...its definitely a Scam !

Yes there is a drop off box located inside of the building as you first walk in. However since it's Covid season and all local state buildings are closed. They only open the doors at 3:00 to allow ppl to put things in the drop box. Also, for other purposes related to your case, you must make an appoint to be seen in person.

The offices are open, with COVID precautions and you must fill out an online application prior to, for most services. Expect a wait. (Bring a book and a snack) They obviously, have all day. I would suggest, visiting at either end of the day. Or utilizing online service.

I am going to answer Yes, because even though the building is closed for customers, there is still staff working in the building. If you go around back you will see their vehicles and sometimes them. Although they won't speak to you or answer questions. I experienced this.

All i need was one form of id. They will give u a print out saying ur card is in the mail but wont have your social security number on it. The paper will work for anything you need for up to two weeks till your card comes in

There is no penalty after 66 to work and collect SS. If a person is healthy enough to work at that age, go for it! Afterall, they have paid into SS all their life, and would still be paying into it by working. It is their money.
