Avoid this Clerk's office, they are shockingly misinformed of TN law. The Maury County clerk's office over the phone and in person said they had no capacity to provide temporary tags. So, the deputy clerk is misinformed, or just too lazy to figure it out. Even after showing the deputy clerk the temp tag application from Tennessee's County Clerk website, the clerk told me "I don't know where you got that." What?!? I just told them where I got it. The worst part? She then proceeds to tell me to basically break the law and just drive around with the dealer invoice in my glovebox as proof until I get my title. Are you kidding me? I went to the Marshall County clerk's office and had temp tags in 10 mins!

Your will need to take a disabled person application to your doctor's office. You can find one online at: https://www.tn.gov/content/dam/tn/revenue/documents/forms/titlereg/f1310301Fill-in.pdf Please make sure section E on page 2 is completely filled out by your doctor. Please bring the completed form to the County Clerk's office to be issued a placard, license plate, or decal.
